Michael Lyon is a true believer Mormon artist who has been doing
illustrations for Hugh Nibley's Collected Works since 1990. At this
link, he has gone to a lot of trouble to illustrate various hypocephali:
<http://members.spree.com/sip/stuff_/Literature/P/Lyon-AppreciatingHypocephali.html>
Michael Lyon's site is called "Appreciating Hypocephali as Works of Art
and Faith"
His reproductions are taken from Nibley's work on Joe Smith's Facsimile
2 hypocephalus in the Book of Abraham, a part of the Pearl of Great
Price. The various theories that LDS present to somehow, with any grasp
at straws, show ties between pagan Egyptian gods and the God of the
Bible, of course, fail completely. In the Bible, God completely abhors
Egyptian and other pagan gods, and he commands Hebrews to break off any
association with them. Additionally, as an added embarrassment to the
LDS "church," Mormon explanations are not supported by Ph.D.
Egyptologists. Mormons are alone and odd in their beliefs. In one
hypocephalus at Lyon's site, "God's" erect penis is firmly displayed as
it is in Figure 7 of Facsimile 2 in the Book of Abraham. In another
hypocephalus, the Egyptian gods Min and Nehebkau (whom Joe Smith
explains as "God" and the "Holy Ghost" in his explanations of the numbed
Figures) face each other with stiff penises.
From the Book of Abraham:
"Fig. 7. Represents God sitting upon his throne, revealing through the
heavens the grand Key-words of the Priesthood; as, also, the sign of the
Holy Ghost unto Abraham, in the form of a dove."
The Book of Abraham is, of course, a proven fraud. According to
Egyptologists, the two personages in Figure 7 are the ithyphallic
Egyptian gods Min (Menu-ka-mut-f) and Nehebkau. "Ithyphallic" means
"with erect penis." Only a few days ago, Dr. James P. Allen, curator of
the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, Department of Egyptian Art,
identified both Min and Nehebkau in Figure 7. In his expert opinion,
Egyptologist James Allen sees "no reason to question the identification
of them as a form of Min and Nehebkau, respectively, since that is what
the parallels indicate they are." (James P. Allen, letter to Mark Hines,
8 September 1999)
When Dr. Klaus Baer, Associate Professor of Egyptology at the University
of Chicago's Oriental Institute, translated the original papyrus (P. JS
I) from which Joe Smith copied the Facsimile 1 vignette of the Book of
Abraham, he found the term "Min Bull-of-his-Mother." (Dialogue: A
Journal of Mormon thought, Autumn 1968, page 116)
Even Mormon apologist and BYU professor Michael Rhodes, who has some
skill in translating Egyptian hieroglyphics, found both Min and
Nehebkau, respectively, in Figure 7. One can easily verify professor
Rhodes' findings in an article he wrote about the Facsimile 2
hypocephalus:
<http://home.att.net/~michael.rhodes/jshypo.htm>
BYU professor Michael Rhodes has translated the Egyptian writing around
the perimeter of the Facsimile 2 hypocephalus as:
"I am Djabty in the house of Benben in Heliopolis, so exalted and
glorious. [I am] copulating bull without equal. [I am] that mighty god
in the house of Benben of Heliopolis. . . ." (BYU Studies, Spring 1977,
p. 265)
The "copulating bull without equal" refers to the Egyptian God Min in
Figure 7 of LDS porn scripture. Truly Mormonism is a form of mental
illness, as some who have left have admitted.
Dr. Samuel Mercer, who was distinguished as the custodian of the Hibbard
Collection of Egyptian reproductions, the most complete collection in
the United States at the time (The Utah Survey, vol. 1, no. 1,
September, 1913, p. 3), also found the Egyptian gods Min (Horus-Min) and
Nehebkau in Figure 7 of Facsimile 2.
Dr. Mercer wrote, "Fig. 7 represents Nehebka, the serpent-god,
presenting an uzat-eye to Horus-Min who is seated. Horus-Min was
formerly sometimes called Horammon. Joseph Smith calls Horus-Min 'God
sitting upon his throne,' and Nehebka, the Holy Ghost 'in the form of a
dove,' the last expression being, of course, an anachronism." (The Utah
Survey, p. 24)
Those who have good hearts, and whose names are written in the Lamb's
Book of Life, will, upon learning the reality about whom Mormons'
worship--Satan--do their own diligent research, perhaps starting with
the link below, and will leave Satanic Mormonism. It is hoped that even
as many as possible of the mixed up and messed up kids and teenage
elders who reply critically to my posts, but who are not taken seriously
by careful readers, will come to their senses and leave the LDS
"church" before it is too late. Hell is a very real prospect for those
who worship Smith's "Gods."

It has been mentioned here, possibly in response to a
point you raised in this NG, (which you don't read), that
Malachi 4:2 contains an Egyptian symbol. The word "son"
of course is an interpolation; the Hebrew has it as "sun".
It's a rising sun with wings, an Egyptian symbol, and it's
in the Bible.

It has ever been thus, from the day that Martin Harris carried
samples of the Book of Mormon characters to NY and showed them
to Professor Anthon. Anthon thought they were genuine until
the element of faith was introduced -- he would have nothing to
do with a story that included an angel. The learned have ever
opposed learning from God. see
http://web.lds.net/pages/wwbrison/anthon.htm
I apologize that these notes are not yet polished, but I figured
people could benefit from them as they are until I get them
cleaned up.
<obscene stuff snipped>
If you could drop the filth it would be nice, even tho the filth
in your posts makes it obvious to one and all that your posts
are totally contrary to the Spirit of God.

€ I keep trying, Bill. Occasionally it pays off. for instance -- I
have been bugging Mark for months to post a decent indecent picture of
Min. the Bull's ithyphallic equipment. Mark recently came through with a
picture that is clearly superior to the one in the 3-1-1844 Times and
Seasons .
