I made a post in sci.physics yesterday and it still hasn't shown up so I had to repost it, and a post in rec.arts.sf.written today and same same.

Dang, this is becoming something of a bother. Like I donut have enough crap to deal with. I have two grandkids for the summer, I may have to drop the gas tank on the (slightly dead) Jeep to get the gas out of it, and my wife wants me to build a fire because she's cold.

I don't even LIKE my lawn, but get offa it anyways.

WTF? Now the auld Google Groups comes up by default instead of the
new, which there wasn't a "switch back to the old" option this morning
and there's no "try the new" option visible now. Did Google actually
get enough complaints that the new is out?

What's really shocking is the idea that Google listened to the complaints.

Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

It still sucks. Thank godz and whatnot xnews is still good enough to
work with Win7 and free news servers abound, is all I have to say.

OK, so now the Old is Out and the New is in with no "switch back"
option anywhere. And yes, it fellates. Poorly.

Also, Eternal September/Thunderbird does Not though the newest update
of Tbird has an awful lot of bells and whistles now that IMO it really
didn't need.

There's a sub-discussion going on in sci.lang about all the
unnecessary line breaks Google groups adds to replies and how some lines
appear without line breaks at all, running screaming off the right edge
of the pane, and I see none of that in the above quoted material, so
irregardless of us having to use their servers, apparently It Matters
which interface we use to access them.
