I warmed up at home by drawing Michigan J Frog, as there is no other
cartoon character that wants you to draw it more than it does, and hey,
Michigian J Frog!
I had a go at drawing the following:
Guardian Spirit
Tang Dynasty
(AD 700-750)

(Similar to the one on the left)
Gorilla carrying off a woman (1887)
Emmanuel Fremiet

(One of the security staff liked my drawing)
The Kidnapping Horse (c. 1819-24)
Francisco Goya

(This was my favourite to draw)
Some other highlights from the gallery that I didn't draw:
Big Wigs (2000) - Nicky Hoberman
http://www.renabranstengallery.com/Hoberman_Bigwigs.html
The Artist's Daughter (1927)
Augustus John
http://bertc.com/subfive/john2.htm
(She looks a bit surly having to sit for a portrait by her dad.)
I still haven't seen the complete collection so I may go back again. The
Australian gallery is just up the road also (I've already drawn from
some of the works there a couple of years ago.)
Thanks.
