I wish to extend my appreciation to the United States Marine Corp., United
States Air Force, United States Army, United States Navy
for their web-sites and Taylorcraft Corporation, for their assistance and
E-mails therefore providing a mountain of reliable and historical evidence
for this report. This report was (Notarized) in the State of Florida,
October 28th, 2004.
This article was (not) written to judge the Watchtower Society, or Jehovah's
Witnesses as to any of their Christian beliefs. This report is presented to
show that while the Watchtower Society and Jehovah's Witnesses condemn war
or any such involvement in warfare, it was indeed one of their own devout
ministers who was instrumental in the production of weapons of mass
destruction specifically during WW2.
Clarence Gilbert Taylor, founder of the (Taylorcraft) Corporation, and who
set up nine different companies in the mass production of warfare technology
was a (devout) Jehovah's Witness, along with his wife (Josephine), who was
also a true Jehovah's Witness.
Clarence Gilbert Taylor was born on September 25th, 1898, and the Taylor
Brothers Aircraft Company was started in the late 1920s, with Clarence and
his brother Gordon.
Onetime barnstormers the brothers had designed and were attempting to market
a two-seat mono- plane called the "Chummy" when Gordon was killed in a plane
crash in 1928. A photo of Clarence G. Taylor can be seen here and history:

And a picture of the "Chummy" airplane can be seen here:

The first document I found stating that Clarence G. Taylor was a (devout)
member of Jehovah's Witnesses was presented by the Taylorcraft Corporation
themselves. Around 1939 Taylor was documented as a (devout) Jehovah's
Witness. Go here and look at the top of page 3:

Listed between the years of 1939 and 1942, Taylorcraft manufactured the Army

For reasons of supply, the Army ordered its light planes most of which were
simple military conversions from standard civilian aircraft, from several
different manufacturers. (1)The Taylorcraft Aviation Corporation. (2)The
Aeronca Aircraft Corporation. (3)The Piper Aircraft Corporation. (4)and the
Stinson Division of Voltee. Agitation for better air observation grew in
intensity, led by chief of Field Artillery, Major General Robert M. Danford.
This attracted the attention of the three leading light aircraft
manufacturers: Aeronca, Taylorcraft, and Piper. They got into the act and
placed one or more civilian aircraft with company pilots, at the disposal of
every senior commander in every large scale Army maneuver conducted. See
this web-site and check papagraph 1.

In 1942 Taylor set up the (Gibson Refrigerator Company), at Greenville,
Michigan, to build CG4A Military Gliders, and weapons of mass destruction.
Gibson Refrigerator Company manufactured about 1700 refrigerators for the
military housing department. However, under the direction of C.G. Taylor,
the Gibson Company also contracted and manufactured the following:
1. Incendiary Bombs
2. Chemical Bombs
3. Chemical Bomb Clusters
4. Anti-Aircraft Guns
5. Navy Practice Bombs
6. Aircraft Parachute Flare Bombs
7. Bomb Shackles
8. Jettison Aircraft Fuel Tanks
9. Liberator Bomber Wing Flaps
10. Computer Parts for Large Caliber Anti-Aircraft Guns and Shipboard Guns
11. Engine Parts for Aircraft and Tanks
12. Bomb Housing Band Sets
13. Bomb Sight Lens Polishers
14. CG4A Bomber Gliders
15. Mustard Gas
The Memories of the Gibson Refrigerator Company can be found at this
web-site, and paragraphs 33 and 34 mentions how C.G. Taylor took over to
train, tool, and oversee the companies operations for the CG4A Bomber
Gliders. Go here: http://www.fightingfalcon.com/grc.htm
(If you click on (NEXT) at the bottom of the web-site page, it will give you

Taylor).

Famous people who trained or flew Taylorcraft Airplanes include:
Dwight D. Eisenhower who was brought up in the Bible Students faith, or
(Jehovah's Witnesses) himself, trained in a Taylorcraft Airplane. Go here

Brigadier General Joseph J Foss Ang, was awarded the "Medal Of Honor" by
President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who also trained with Taylorcraft
airplanes. Foss also served two terms as Governor of the State of South
Dakota from January 1955 to January 1959. Go here and scroll 1/2 the way

In view of all of the publicity, advertisements, famous people, and world
renowned hype of the Taylorcraft name, it would have been very difficult for
the Watchtower Society to claim that they did not know who C.G. Taylor was,
or were unaware of the Military manufacturing businesses that Taylor was
involved in.
The names (Taylorcraft), and C.G. Taylor were world known trademarks that
were advertised in newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and
conversation topics discussed even by Presidents of the United States.
C.G. Taylor was also turning in (Field Service Reports), to the Watchtower
Society with his name signed to every slip, and every member of his
Jehovah's Witness congregation must have known, or been aware of his
worldwide manufacturing of weapons.
Taylor continued his Military manufacturing of weapons until 1958, yet the
1988 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses page 208 states, "After their
departure, the Society did not appoint another pilgrim to oversee the work
until ten years later, in 1937. But the local brothers remained undaunted.
They continued to preach in the four or five places where groups met, and
they sent their (field service reports) directly to the Society in
Brooklyn." So for at least 19 years, from 1939 to 1958, C.G. Taylor was
turning in his (field service reports) to the Watchtower Society. Surely his
name was recognized by the Watchtower, however, there are no records of C.G.
Taylor ever being expelled or disfellowshipped from any congregation of
Jehovah's Witnesses.
As stated before, this article is (not) to judge the Watchtower Society or
Jehovah's Witnesses as to their Christian beliefs. However, in view of the
staggering evidence provided by all four branches of the Military, and
statements made from C.G. Taylor's own Taylorcraft Corporation itself, it
would be my opinion, that the Watchtower Society and it's members should not
be so quick to claim that they are strictly (neutral) as to world affairs.
When the Watchtower Society or Jehovah's Witnesses judge others in such a
way as to condemn the entire world to destruction just because of a
difference of beliefs, or because American soldiers defend our country, do
they really have room to talk considering the evidence we have just
considered?
I think that Jesus Christ said it best when he said, "Truly I say to you
that the tax collectors and the harlots are going ahead of you into the
Kingdom of God."
