Quran Contradiction -- The Injil: A Greek Book for the Children of
Israel? Jochen Katz & Bassam Khoury

hi Jochan,

first of, wish you a happy new year.

second of, thanks for your prompt reply which frankly, was no reply
at all.
it was just a play of words, as usual.

you seem to have forgotten the crux of your own article,
which was clearly spelled out in the title thereof.
see below.

the brief statement that you have cited in response, perhaps to
contradict me, lends less credence to your overall intent and motive.
it does no justice to your article in general. unfortunately, your own
words don't support you even now.

on the other hand, the original thought, though was not without
justification.

you have merely cited a political reality of the day in AD 1.
and what the GOSPELERS did after Jesus Christ, UNDER the inspiration
of the holy ghost, etc.

please note that Jesus Christ himself made no such bombastic claims
and neither did the 4 GOSPELERS. but only paul did. AND YOU HAVE
FOLLOWED HIM.

regardless, this per se was a telling fact.

the said divine inspiration or whatever,
did not go AGAINST the teachings of Jesus Christ,
which was mainly propagated by him during his lifetime
and mission.

note
my reference was only to the teachings of Jesus Christ by himself.
and
nothing more.

not talking about any post resurrection teachings attributed to Jesus
Christ. you need to discern one from the other and vice versa.

but then, that was only part of the story, which you have
acknowledged. and deliberately IGNORED the other crucial part, the
truth and reality of what transpired AFTER Jesus brief lifetime and
his incomplete mission.

 however, like you, i have to depend on the gospels and the
remainder
of the new testament;
 to dig out and patch together the truth,
 like a jigsaw puzzle - with so many missing pieces,
 simply BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS
 WERE BURNED AND DESTROYED
 BY THE EARLY CHURCH FATHERS,
 as you know.

google search the internet for verification of this PRE-ISLAMIC
HISTORICAL FACT, if you wish.

but why will you do that and expose yourself to your own conscience?

this alone, will suffice to discredit your general inquiry, which was
based more on personal bias against islam and your hypothesis than
truth and candor.

in some ways, you have answered your own question and contention,
which need some scripture-based perspective and elaboration -
interpretation, if you will.

insha'llaah i will have my reply to your said article shortly.

will you post it on your website and reply it in all honesty?
will you give me that assurance now – by return email?

regards

Hi Ali,

WHY should I challenge that website?

Apparently you seem think that their website contradicts our article?

But I don't think it does. Can you please explain
why you think this website saves the Quran from being in error on
this
issue?

We even say:

The fact that the Injil is a message/book with a Greek title
implies that the book is in Greek.

And, your reference to this website seems to imply that you agree
that the Injil is the New Testament. Is that correct?
Otherwise, how would that website be relevant at all?

Best regards,

Jochen Katz

The Quran makes the following three statements:

And in their footsteps, We sent 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)
confirming the Taurat (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave
him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and
confirmation of the Taurat (Torah) that had come before it, a
guidance
and an admonition for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2). S. 5:46
Al-
Hilali & Khan; cf. S. 57:27

ERROR #3

THE NEW TESTAMENT WAS ORIGINALLY
WRITTEN IN HEBREW

One of the most absurd of the claims made by sacred name movement
teachers is that the complete New Testament was originally written in
the Hebrew language. Nothing could be further from the truth.

This claim is made without so much as a shred of empirical evidence.
Even so, such an untenable position is thrust upon these teachers as
necessary to support the primary doctrine of the movement.

IN TRUTH, THE NEW TESTAMENT WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN IN GREEK. PAUL,
Peter, James, John, Luke, and others wrote the name of our Savior in
a
language not Hebrew. If these men were permitted, inspired even, to
write the name in Greek, we are also permitted to write and speak the
name in our native language.

THE HISTORICAL FACT IS THIS: THE NEW TESTAMENT WAS WRITTEN IN GREEK.
Therefore, the doctrine of the Hebrew only sacred name is made
invalid. This conclusion will be reached by even the most casual
thinker who has the facts at his or her disposal.

Therefore, sacred name movement teachers are compelled to fight a
futile battle against an OBVIOUSLY ORIGINAL GREEK NEW TESTAMENT.
