Anti-Hindu "South Asian" wants to represent Hindus in US
Congress

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

Rohit Khanna who wants to run for Congress from Fremont
is an anti-Hindu "South Asia" type person who wants to
represent Hindus.

He gets donations from virulently hateful anti-Hindu
people like Martha Nussbaum. The intolerant Martha
Nussbaum hates Hindu. She opposed Hindus in the CA
textbook case, used a tragedy (Mumbai terror attacks) to
bash grieving Hindus and used completely fabricated
claims to lie about the Gujarat riots. She has also made
obscene remarks against Hindu men.

Rohit Khanna claims he has been involved in his local
community, yet his work is virtually unknown among
Hindus. Perhaps his local community is the community of
p-secs and Commies.

PLEASE OPPOSE ROHIT KHANNA AND SPREAD THIS MESSAGE
AROUND!

'The Clash Within: Democracy, Religious Violence, and India's Future'

That said, Nussbaum does get into some specific details, and outlines a
version of the rise of the Hindu right starting with the arguments of
Savarkar and Golwalkar, and ending in Gujarat 2002. (Some readers will
agree with her version of events, some may disagree. I think she is
substantially correct.)

For Nussbaum, the rhetoric of Hindutva is to a great extent a rhetoric of
masculinity under threat:

TRIBUTES TO HINDUISM

1. Mahatma Gandhi:

"Hinduism has made marvelous discoveries in things of
religion, of the spirit, of the soul. We have no eye for
these great and fine discoveries. We are dazzled by the
material progress that western science has made. Ancient
India has survived because Hinduism was not developed
along material but spiritual lines.

"India is to me the dearest country in the world, because
I have discovered goodness in it. It has been subject to
foreign rule, it is true. But the status of a slave is
preferable to that of a slave holder."

2. Henry David Thoreau:

"In the morning I bathe my intellect in the stupendous
and cosmogonal philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita in
comparison with which our modern world and its literature
seems puny.

"What extracts from the Vedas I have read fall on me like
the light of a higher and purer luminary, which describes
a loftier course through purer stratum. It rises on me
like the full moon after the stars have come out, wading
through some far stratum in the sky."

3. Arthur Schopenhauer:

"In the whole world there is no study so beneficial and
so elevating as that of the Upanishads. It has been the
solace of my life -- it will be the solace of my death."

4. Ralph Waldo Emerson said this about the Gita:

"I owed a magnificent day to the Bhagavad Gita. It was as
if an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but
large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old
intelligence which in another age and climate had
pondered and thus disposed of the same questions which
exercise us."

The famous poem "Brahm" is an example of his Vedanta
ecstasy.

5. Wilhelm von Humboldt pronounced the Gita as:

"The most beautiful, perhaps the only true philosophical
song existing in any known tongue ... perhaps the deepest
and loftiest thing the world has to show."

6. Lord Warren Hastings, the Governor General, was very
much impressed with Hindu philosophy:

"The writers of the Indian philosophies will survive,
when the British dominion in India shall long have ceased
to exist, and when the sources which it yielded of wealth
and power are lost to remembrances."

7. Mark Twain:

"So far as I am able to judge, nothing has been left
undone, either by man or nature, to make India the most
extraordinary country that the sun visits on his rounds.
Nothing seems to have been forgotten, nothing overlooked.

"Land of religions, cradle of human race, birthplace of
human speech, grandmother of legend, great grandmother of
tradition. The land that all men desire to see and having
seen once even by a glimpse, would not give that glimpse
for the shows of the rest of the globe combined."

8. Rudyard Kipling to Fundamental Christian Missionaries:

"Now it is not good for the Christian's health to hustle
the Hindu brown for the Christian riles and the Hindu
smiles and weareth the Christian down; and the end of the
fight is a tombstone while with the name of the late
deceased and the epitaph drear, "A fool lies here who
tried to hustle the east".

9. Jules Michelet, a French historian, said:

"At its starting point in India, the birthplace of races
and religions, the womb of the world." This is what he
said of the Raamyana in 1864: "Whoever has done or willed
too much let him drink from this deep cup a long draught
of life and youth .. . Everything is narrow in the West -
- Greece is small and I stifle; Judea is dry and I pant.
Let me look toward lofty Asia, and the profound East for
a little while. There lies my great poem, as vast as the
Indian ocean, blessed, gilded with the sun, the book of
divine harmony wherein is no dissonance. A serene peace
reigns there, and in the midst of conflict an infinite
sweetness, a boundless fraternity, which spreads over all
living things, an ocean (without bottom or bound) of
love, of pity, of clemency."

10. Shri Aurobindo:

"Hinduism.....gave itself no name, because it set itself
no sectarian limits; it claimed no universal adhesion,
asserted no sole infallible dogma, set up no single
narrow path or gate of salvation; it was less a creed or
cult than a continuously enlarging tradition of the
Godward endeavor of the human spirit. An immense many-
sided and many staged provision for a spiritual self-
building and self-finding, it had some right to speak of
itself by the only name it knew, the eternal religion,
sanaatan dharm...."

11. Will Durant would like the West to learn from India,
tolerance and gentleness and love for all living things:

"Perhaps in return for conquest, arrogance and
spoliation, India will teach us the tolerance and
gentleness of the mature mind, the quiet content of the
unacquisitive soul, the calm of the understanding spirit,
and a unifying, a pacifying love for all living things."

12. Joseph Campbell:

"It is ironic that our great western civilization, which
has opened to the minds of all mankind the infinite
wonders of a universe of untold billions of galaxies
should be saddled with the tightest little cosmological
image known to mankind? The Hindus with their grandiose
Kalpas and their ideas of the divine power which is
beyond all human category (male or female). Not so alien
to the imagery of modern science that it could not have
been put to acceptable use.

"There is an important difference between the Hindu and
the Western ideas. In the Biblical tradition, God creates
man, but man cannot say that he is divine in the same
sense that the Creator is, where as in Hinduism, all
things are incarnations of that power. We are the sparks
from a single fire. And we are all fire. Hinduism
believes in the omnipresence of the Supreme God in every
individual. There is no 'fall'. Man is not cut off from
the divine. He requires only to bring the spontaneous
activity of his mind stuff to a state of stillness and he
will experience that divine principle with him."

13. Sir Monier-Williams:

The Hindus, according to him, were Spinozists more than
2,000 years before the advent of Spinoza, and Darwinians
many centuries before Darwin and Evolutionists many
centuries before the doctrine of Evolution was accepted
by scientists of the present age.

14. Carl Sagan, (the late scientist), asserts that the
dance of Nataraj signifies the cycle of evolution and
destruction of the cosmic universe (Big Bang Theory). "It
is the clearest image of the activity of God which any
art or religion can boast of."

15. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a professor of Eastern
Religions at Oxford and later President of India:

"Hinduism is not just a faith. It is the union of reason
and intuition that cannot be defined but is only to be
experienced. Evil and error are not ultimate. There is no
Hell, for that means there is a place where God is not,
and there are sins which exceed his love."

Hindutv - about keeping up a faith

By M. V. Kamath
Free Press Journal
June 17, 2004

In his first public utterance after the fall of the NDA government,
L. K. Advani made an interesting remark. He said that Hindutv
remained the guiding force of the BJP and there was no need to be
apologetic about it. If he has been correctly reported, if not in
words at least in spirit, the time has come to engage in a public
discussion of the subject. So much has been said and written about
Hindutv and no two persons seem agreed on an acceptable definition.
Decades old writings and sayings of Veer Savarkar and Guru Golwalkar
are often cited by secularists not so much to elucidate the phrase as
much as to damn both and add to the hate propaganda.

In the 'secular' mind Hindutv is associated with jingoism,
communalism, anti-minoritism, fascism and everything negative. Debate
becomes impossible. It is also associated with Hindu separatism, it a
divisive factor in Indian society. The very word 'Hindu' has become
anathema to many 'intellectual' Hindus.

To the Communists, especially in West Bengal, Hinduism stinks.
Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, the CPM Chief Minister of West Bengal could
even say, with a smirk on his face, that his party would support the
Congress if only to keep the BJP out. The CPM government had gone to
the extent of making the activities ofthe non-political Sri
Ramakrishna Mission in the field of education so hard to pursue that
the Mission, set up by no less than Swami Vivekananda felt forced to
approach the Calcutta High Court to seek for itself a separate non-
Hindu minority status.

The Mission's affidavit in the High Court and, later, its written
arguments in July 1983 contended that "Ramakrishnaism is definitely
no part of Hinduism" but is" a religion separate and different from
the religion of the Hindus" and that" it has its own separate god,
separate name, separate Church, separate worship, separate community,
separate organization and, above all, separate philosophy".

What Swami Vivekanand, would have to say about this religious turn-
coatism is another matter. What is it that is turning otherwise
decent and religious Hindus against themselves? One has to read Pawan
Varma's nauseating book 'Being Indian'to appreciate the depth to
which hatred of Hinduism has gotten inside the Hindu mind.

It is self-flagellation at its worst. One can understand the anger of
the reformer who has set out to change Hindu society. India down the
centuries had several of them. One of the last, Sri Aurobindo could
say: "These hollow worm-eaten outsides of Hinduism crumbling so
sluggishly, so fatally to some sudden and astonishing dissolution, do
not frighten me. Within them I find the soul of a civilization alive,
though sleeping".

Sri Aurobindo was no ordinary critic of what was crumbling about
Hinduism, but even when he was being critical he could see through
the devastating influence of westernisation that was affecting Hindu
society at the beginning of the twentieth century. He was one of the
original pleaders for Hindutv.

As Jyotirmaya Sharma, a sociologist says in his work Hindutv:
Exploring the Idea of Hindu Nationalism: "If Savarkar's exposition of
Hindutv is the most radical, the most extreme and, certainly the most
militant, it is only because his universe of ideas and its milieu was
nourished by predecessors like Dayanand (Saraswati), Vivekananda and
Aurobindo." Each of them was a product of his times.

Each had seen the damage wrought to Hinduism by alien religions.
Writes H. N. Bali in his book 'Hinduism at the Crossroads':"In their
zeal both Islam and Christianity did everything possible to distort
the essence of the Hindu faith and paint it in the darkest hues to
make Hindus self-conscious of the inadequacies of their religion...
For centuries our tradition of tolerance and catholicity has been
grossly abused..." It was out of this that Dayanand Saraswati, Sri
Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda were born. Decades have passed. The
anger of the Hindu, it seems, still remains. Not among the
westernised Hindu 'liberals'but among the masses. But what is the
answer? How should one reinvigorate Hindus and Hinduism?

Bali, in his book India's Wounded Polity notes "how a fatal flaw
Hindu civilization has been its inability to stand up to defend
itself, militarily, against the onslaught of foreign aggressions" and
concludes by saying that "this has almost entirely been because of
the unpardonable incompetence of a self-complacent leadership and had
nothing to do with the religious faith that the Hindus professed".
But how is this to be reversed? Can so-called secularism do the
trick? Can secularism as propounded by our Congress and Leftist
leaders give back to the Hindus the greatness of the civilization to
which they are the natural heirs? In a way the secularists have no
clear concept of Hindutv.

As Dr Makarand Paranjape, Professor of English at the Jawaharlal
Nehru University says in Dialogue Quarterly (Jan. March 2004) "we
need a much greater degree of introspection and self-examination
before we can occupy the higher moral and intellectual ground from
which to mount an attack on Hindutv. But instead we find ourselves
incapacitated and blinded by the deceptions and distortions of the
very secularism which we claim to espouse..." As Prof. Paranjape sees
it, secularism is really "inverse communalism", and corruption.

Hyper-secularism actually took Hindu away from themselves, in effect
"de-Indianised" them. And that is the special tragedy. But should the
assertion of Hindutv become a political weapon? Can't the concept of
Hindutv be effectively separated from politics? An activist, Ram
Gopal has sought to define Hindutv in his own way. He writes:

* Briefly speaking Hindutv is a clarion call for Hindu revival. It is
geo-cultural concept which, in the present circumstances, has
acquired a political bias.

* Hindutv is rooted in Hindu culture, distinct from Hindu religion
and is poised gainst the present hybrid of Marxism or Socialism and
the capitalist philophy of the West.

* The word 'Hindutv' should not and need not raise an alarm in any
quarters as falsely made in the English media and reflected in the
Vernacular Press.

* Hindutv based on Hindu culture must be catholic and must aim at
peaceful co-existence with all sections of mankind and with Nature,
too. It has to be eco-friendly respectful to all great souls,
irrespective of their religion or religious faith who devoted their
lives for the upliftment of man.

* Hindutv bereft of Hindu culture is dangerous and even suicidal.
Viewed in this light, Hindutv becomes a liberating force and a
uniting force that could bring Hindus, Muslims, Christians together
instead of dividing them. When, in Indonesia, the second largest
Islamic country in the world, population- wise, the government
consciously puts the figure of Lord Ganesh on its currency notes and
names its national airline after Garuda, it is going back culturally
to its Hindu cultural roots.

When Indonesians consciously name their children as Sukarno, Suharto,
Meghavati and so on they are going back again to their cultural
roots. When Christians in India demand that Mass be said in their
local mother tongues (Konkani, Kannada, Telugu or Gujarati) instead
of in Latin, they are going back to their cultural roots. When
Christian women after marriage, wear mangal- sutra and a 'tilak' they
are again going back to their cultural roots without forsaking their
religion.

Christians these days are increasingly giving their children
Sanskritnames. Here it must be emphasised as strongly as possible
that there are no Hindu, Christian or Muslim names. What we have are
Sanskrit, Hebraic, Latin or Arab names. It does not make a Christian
less Christian if he or she is given a Sanskrit name. Sanskrit is the
heritage of every Indian whether born in a Hindu, Muslim, Christian
or Jain family.

Sanskrit has nothing to do with Sanatan Dharm. It was to Sanskrit
that Mahatma Gandhi took recourse to when he spoke about satyagrah,
swaraj, sarvodaya and ahinsa, though this was viciously exploited by
the Muslim League during its campaign for Pakistan to estrange
Muslims from the nationalist struggle. Gandhi could have translated
these words into English but then the Anglicised words would have had
no impact on the populace at all. That is why he spoke about Raam
Rajya which every Indian would instantly understand. If he had used
the word 'Utopia' he would have become the laughing stock of the
country.

Who knows what utopia is when the meanest and most illiterate of
Indians would have no difficulty in understanding the meaning of Raam
Rajya? Gandhi was no 'communalist' but had he lived now he would most
certainly have been dubbed as one.

The minorities in India have nothing to fear about Hindutv, but it
has to be explained in all its catholicity, to the minorities who see
in Hindutv an aggressiveness that frightens them. Much of the blame
for this state of affairs should be laid on secularists whose
mindless hatred has brought about damaging rifts in Indian society.
As Prof. Paranjape puts it "Hinduism must not go in the defensive,
apologeticaly seeking refuge in secularism.... Hindutv can be
defeated not by substituting Hinduism with secularism, but by
replacing a corrupt and rotten secularism with a genuinely
pluralistic and satisfying Hinduism...."

As matters stand the propagation of Hindutv needs to be accompanied
by large-scale social reform, a task that calls first for
introspection and understanding of the issues involved among Hindus
themselves. A renewed and re-invigorated Hinduism, freed from its
many defects and sure of itself can serve as a model, to all
communities. But Hindutv must be separated from politics, if it has
to gather wide acceptance, a point that Advani could well take note
of. Politicising Hindutv robs it of its essence which is
revolutionising Hinduism as Sankara in his time did or as Dayanand,
Vivekanand and Aurobindo had done in their times.

Social aspect of Hindutva Philosophy

By Nithin Sridhar
April 29, 2007

"Hindutva"- Hindu +Tatva= the Ideology related to Hindus

Hindutva is often associated with the Psychology of the
people. Media often portrays Hindutva as an ideology of
hate towards non-Hindus. Hindutva is seen as a political
tool to play with the emotions of people. The so called
intellectuals point out that Hindutva means destruction of
Mosques [they quote Ayodya Babri Demolition as an
example]... and the killing of non-Hindus [they site post
Godra violence as an example].

But, does Hindutva begin and end with the emotions of
Hindus?

The answer is No. Hindutva is the Practical approach to the
problems of Hindu Society, to the problems of Bharat.
Hindutva has a definite goal and offers the methods to
reach that goal.

Hindutva Philosophy outlines the ultimate goal of all
Hindus to be the Unity of all the Hindus. Its ultimate goal
is to restore the grand status of Hindu Rashtra which it
had enjoyed in the past. It aims for the overall
development of Hindus.

But, setting a goal is not enough. We should work towards
achieving it. This is where the practical part of the
Hindutva ideology comes into picture.

To achieve the goals, the Hindutva suggests a multi-
dimensional approach. Hindutva philosophy proposes that our
approach should be political, social and religious. It
suggests that the approach should be both Material and
Philosophical.

In the present article I am dealing with the social aspect.

No man can achieve Ananda-the spiritual Bliss without first
satisfying himself with the material desires. Our Hindu
Philosophy had summed up the aims of human life in a very
well thought-out pattern, of aspiration designated as
Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. Hinduism suggests that a
person who has not fulfilled the first three cannot attain
Moksha-Supreme Bliss.

In the same way a society in which the material needs are
not fulfilled cannot achieve Social Peace and Tranquility.
Such a society is filled with violence and disturbances.

So to achieve the overall development of Hindus, our first
concern should be social enlistment. So, the social
approach of Hindutva becomes very vital.

Hindu Society had been inherently Tolerant, Non-Aggressive,
and peaceful and also very diverse. This diversity which is
the unique heritage of Bharat had also been a root cause
for the social problems. The diversity of Hindu society
over the years had given rise to the disunity and
discrimination. The Varna System or the Caste System of
Hinduism has given rise to Caste discrimination and Caste
politics. These problems are unique to Hindu society. Along
with them... we have poverty, Illiteracy, unemployment....

But what does Hindutva says about the casteism as a whole?

Hindutva's basic goal of unification of Hindus itself says
that Caste System has no place in Hindu society. Every
Hindu should be identified has Hindu and not as a Brahmin
or a Dalit. Hindutva suggests that the problem of casteism
can be solved only by discarding the whole caste system.
Hindutva clearly propagates that all the elements in the
Hindu society which are a hinder the rising of Hindu Dharma
should be discarded.

So what does Hindutva practically offer to solve this
problem?

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, popularly known as RSS had
started Samajik Samarasata Manch in Maharashtra, Veda
Shikshana Shibir in this direction. RSS had trained many
Dalits for becoming priests. RSS organizes several socio-
cultural programs like mass celebration of Hindu festivals
to bring the hindus of different castes together. RSS in
its organization does not identify people in the terms of
caste.

The problems of Hindu society do not end here. The
education and poverty are the major problems. The problem
in education system is deeper. Today the students are
ignorant about the Hindu culture and Moral values, because
education in present India apes west. and due to Marxist
distortions, the history of Bharat is filled with lies and
half-truths. As a result students have been the victims of
anti-Hindu Marxist propaganda. So, the greater challenge
facing the Hindutva organizations is to counter this false
propaganda and to instill the values of Hindu culture in
the Hindus. Today Hindus have lost pride in their history,
culture and religion. So, RSS and other Hindutva
organizations directs itself to instill the Hindu pride.
Vidya Bharati and Seva Bharati are working in the
education field to not only provide value based education
to the poorest of the poor, but also develop in them, the
hindu pride. These organizations work to provide education
to those who are not in reach of government run schools.
Hindutva organizations have also started many newspapers
and magazines like Tarun Bharat to counter the anti-Hindu
reporting of the media.

The students are important part of today’s Indian Society.
So, to direct the young students in the right direction and
to provide them a voice in the society Akhila Bharatiya
Vidyarthi Parishad or ABVP is striving very hard. Likewise
Hindutva organizations are present in every field from
agriculture to labors union, from education to politics.
All these organizations are working in their field to
develop the conditions of the Hindus.

So, the Social aspect of Hindutva is the backbone of
Hindutva, its practical part. This social aspect is the one
with which most of the Hindutva organizations are
concerned.

Hindutva is Amritva

Saturday, June 26, 2010

-From R. K. G.
-To D. R. P., and others

Namaste!

As recommended by you I read your article headed Hinduism is the
Foundation of Civilisation with interest. I agree with it completely.
One can easily see the burning desire in your heart as to why this
AMRITVA which is the foundation of civilisation and the saviour also
is not getting top esteem of mankind and is being religated in Nepal.
The number matters and does not matter. I may quote from the end of
the last chapter in the Geeta:

YATRA YOGESHWAR KRISHANA, YATRA PARTHA DANURDHARA I
TATRA SHRIRVIJAY BHUTIDHRIVA NITIRMATIMAMA II

Only two Krishna and Partha are enough but also that they made the
whole JANTA to see into how righteousness can be established. But
JANTA is equally necessary. Hindus in innumerable way are doing this
work. Success is not swift. Why ? During the passage of time great
many defects and human weaknesses pervaded. We know them, you know
them. I make mention of TWO of them. Allurement of money and Hunger
for political power. Bharat of Hindus suffered for 1200 years right
from the Muslims raids in the eighth century. Hindus could easily be
purchased for money to assist in killing of other Hindus and
ultimatly the Nation (Rashtra) was subjugated. Our sense and pride of
Rastriyata was lost but not completely. All along we had heroes and
traitors. Dr Kesha Baliram Rao Hedgewar recognised that this weakness
can only be eradicated by some solid work and he gave Bharat
Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh with a unheard technique of Shakha
programme for constant training (Satata Sanskars) without being
politically inclined, without having lust for power and or money.
Treachery did not go from the Hindus and those in political power and
controlled the Government called others COMMUNAL to remain in power
with the most communal on the earth, the Muslim votes. Those who gave
clarion call for Hindutva and Rashtriyatva, the most secular system
on the earth, must have to participate to capture political power.
Hindus Must not be afraid of politics, nor no Hindu work must be.
Gain political power and proceed. Nepal will not be behind. Had Dr
Hedgwar been alive now he would have been in active politics with
same ferver as when he started Shakha in 1925. Nepal Hindus do follow
Indian happenings. Now RSS has gone active in Politics, not as RSS
but as BJP, Hindutva shall govern Bharat which will be most secular.
Nepal, Shri Lanka and Hindus all over the world are feeling this
pinch. This will soon.

Nothing else is Secular, not even an iota, except Hindutva. Mankind
will find peace and respite nowhere except in Hindutva. I suggest
get in touch with RSS work and learn to be working like Hindu heroes
about whom you may know more than I do. We have to change India to
Hindutva by gaining Political power so as to establish a secular
system for flourisg of mankind with human freedoms towards MOKSHA. I
must say once again that most of what I have said above is known to
you as to many, many more. So I am very, very brief. Have no doubt
Hindus will be successful. This is the reality, the truth. Now sooner
than later.

The process of BJP PRAKSHALAN, Samundra Manthan has begun. Leaders
will crop up and stale ones will end. This will happen sooner than
later. Trust me. Remember both Shivajee and Rana Pratap, Guru Govind
Singh and Subhash Bose. And innumerable like them having no desire
for power or pelf but had all of it.

Namaste!
Yours sincerely
R. K. G.

A question was posed, how many times can jay stevens, aka dr. jai etc. be
induced to repost by responding to himself?

As many times as one chooses is the answer. In the present series he is up
to 6 or so. Talk of a puppet on a string, no?

Let's see if he can stop himself.
