congregation within the association has its own flavor so some might be
more Gay-friendly than others. Congregations that have worked through
their homophobia (and therefore might be more Gay-friendly than others)
are recognized as a "Welcoming Congregation". Unitarian Universalism is
not a Christian denomination but rather encourages its members to
determine for themselves what is appropriate to believe.

You may also want to check out and see if there are any United Church of
Christ congregations in you area.
Many UCC churches are open and friendly, so I would advise calling
first, and asking.
