Pardon my ignorance, but I was under the impression that there were no gods in the Church of Emacs :-P I must say that when I read the subject, I assumed that someone was asking for forgiveness for using a proprietary program!

I have beheld the tarball of 22.1 on ftp.gnu.org with my own eyes. How can you say that there is no God in the Church of Emacs?

We know that vivivi is the mark of the beast and if there is no god, then there is no beast. As the mark of the beast manifests itself in comp.editors, the beast must exist. Therefore, the god of the Church of Emacs exists.
Without our god, we would not have the sacred source code which shows us the way to freedom.
