John Toland, an Irishman was a pioneer in this form of thinking among
Caucasians.
My Druid teacher taught me a lot about such a world view among the Irish
Druids of the eighteenth century.

Yes, Jim, I have read Toland. I really love reading about his
adventurous and danger-filled life, and especially the episode where
his book was ordered to be burned by the common hangman ! Of course
OBOD have hijacked Toland too :-)

As a "real" Druid you would know about him and so many other interesting
Irishman.
Unlike most all others your experiences go far beyond just reading books or
cut and past Druidry.
The ancient Druids lived in a time when nature was in total balance and not
threatened, but times have chainged and modern Druids should recognize this
in a way far beyond mere lip service.

Yes, Jim, they will have to learn how to recognize Con Men like Philip
Carr-Gomm, Isaac Bonewitz, the entire Carleton College Laugh-In
including Strutt, and avoid all such like the Plague.
THE GOLDEN RULE : Don't give them a cent, don't give anybody a cent
for Druidry, don't believe anybody who tells you that he or she will
teach you Druidry in a Correspondence Course, it simply can't be done,
and anybody who claims it can be done is a Crook ! Give them
absolutely NOTHING and they will disappear to pastures anew to fleece
somebody else. Do not pay them a dime, and if you are paying them for
their waste paper, cease forthwith. DO NOT FEED THE CROOKS, THEN THE
CON MEN WILL EVAPORATE !!!

Well, your 'teacher' sold you a bill of goods.
Toland got his hands on William Stukeley's archives and suggested in 1717
that "all brother- and sisterhoods of diverse organizations such as
Rosicrucians and Freemasons should revert to one common Order". On
behalf of this idea, the first so-called "Druid" order of the romantic
revival age was founded by Henry Hurle (who called it the "Ancient Order of
Druids") at the Old King’s Tavern in London on November 28th 1781.
No authentic druidry there at all. You got suckered by one of them and for
your complete and utter lack of knowledge about European matters didn't
even notice, did you. Small town Californians are so easy...
"The Ancient Order followed the lines of Freemasonary. The Ancient Order
had little to do with spiritual teaching. It was more of a social group
concerned with welfare issues, although not its primary focus. The Ancient
Order split numerous times and at the Ablion Lodge in Oxford a young Winston
Churchill was initiated in 1908." [1]

Genuine Druidry is lip to ear only and the most one would be expected to
give the teacher is respect and to find ways to contribute so as to offset
the teachers time and efforts. Cut wood and carry water so to speak. On this
side of the pond most all approach the teacher in the brain picking mode,
thus being deemed as unfit to teach. These ways are not for sale!!!!

it is one of the greatest frauds perpetrated on Humanity, bettered

stock exchange with the dollars, euros and Sterling of complete fools
who think that they are receiving "Druidry", they're not, they are
getting waste paper for their money and ornate certificates
proclaiming them to be "Druids" , issued by Carr-Gomm and his princely
merchants of this Earth. And the entire fraud is still organised by
the Freemasons of the City of London Financial Sector. Carr-Gomm is
now one of the wealthiest men in England - and still people like
Searles can't see past their noses. It makes one despair !

Nope, Searles' and mine days of telling each other what to do are
officially, mutually and definitely over. :) One thing's for sure though.
He never got suckered by some Tolandish offspring into believing this
romantic 18th C. Rosicrucian garbage they spout was the One and
only real true and authentic Druidry [TM] like Jim did, by this 'Coricle
Trom' or whatever the heck his nickname was.

What about the thousands over the years who got suckered by OBOD ?
Their money is now well invested in stocks and shares in the City of
London by OBOD's brokers.
And they are too much ashamed of themselves to ever admit that they
were Fall Guys, that's the Real Sting.
But how many thousands of these have warned thousands more never to go
near Druids or Druidry - so Druidry suffers a bad reputation in the
world as a Fraud on a par with scientology , which OBOD Druidry has
become. It all stinks to high heaven. Meanwhile Druids of
Responsibility sit around thinking, hoping it will all just go away.
It won't, it hasn't for three centuries. Anybody can be fooled, wise
people are generally not wordly, and those are exactly the people that
the scammers thrive upon.

All I know about Toland is that he coined the term Pantheism.
I knew that he was a panthiest and that is all I knew about him.

Regarding Toland I shall look up the progression of statements and

Toland, I have no need to as I have known all there is to know about
him for years. I do hope that nobody is picking on you over the
matter, as it's peaceful here now and hopefully will stay that way as
people enjoy discussing Druidry.
