He approached the circle from the avenue, pausing at the devil's seat he lit
a cigarette, inhaling deeply, then exhaling. Ever the bard, he entered the
circle through the smoke he had just created, and viewed that which lay
before him.
The green man, who today was sporting a rather fetching top hat, decorated
with brightly coloured feathers, was worshipping at the concrete pillar that
had once been rock. The green man's companions sat around in a semi-circle,
within the inner circle, and were silent. It seemed the green man was
calling out to the forces that be, to bring, to bring positive energies into
the land and into our hearts.
When the green man had finished his prayer, his companions stood up and
cheered, the group then made it's way out of the inner circle to the inn for
some refreshment.
Then, he entered the inner circle, and approached the concrete pillar with
some caution.
He asked the pillar 'What are you all about then?'. The pillar did not
reply, but just for a moment it seemed that the rock that had once stood
there, appeared like a ghostly mist for an instant, then faded as quickly as
it appeared.
He left the circle and headed for the inn.

That evening, he took shelter under a walnut tree, some ten miles from the
great circle. After a few glasses of ale, he rested back and fell into a
twilight doze, beneath the boughs of the walnut.
After what seemed hours, he woke with a start. A voice up in the tree had
disturbed his slumber.
'Who's there?' he demanded.
'Only us' the voice replied.
At once he could see shapes forming in the shadows of the branches and
leaves of the tree in the gloom.
What seemed like a face appeared, then melted away, and the voice spoke
again.
'So, you can speak to us'
Now he did not speak with his mouth but with his mind.
'I can?' he thought.
'Yes, you have the gift' the voice replied.
'So, what do I do with this gift?' he thought.
'Learn.' the voice replied.
'We have been here much longer than you' the voice boasted.
'Yes' I thought, 'But is it not the case that we have great power over you?'
'What power do *you* have over us?' the voice scoffed.
'We have big saws with which to chop you down.' I thought.
'Ah, yes.' the voice replied.
'I think a bit of mutual respect is in order then.' I thought.
'Yes, that is the most sensible way to proceed.' the voice said.
'You can start with some geometry.' the voice added.
Then there appeared some shapes in the shadows of the leaves and branches.
First a single line, then a triangle, then a square, then a circle. Then a
tetrahedron followed by a pyramid and a diamond, then an isohedron and
finally a sphere, which melted away abruptly.
A breeze blew up and rustled all the leaves and branches on the tree, and
the voice fell silent.
He slept well that night and woke unusually refreshed in the morning, with a
smile, a knowing smile that hinted that all was right with the world once
more.

I cannot be certain whether the conversation with the tree was a dream or
not, does it matter?
I understand that sacred geometry is rooted in Greek mythology/tradition, am
I right in thinking that the Druids of old studied greek stuff?
Also any good links on sacred geometry (construction and meaning) would be
most appreciated.

I am still on Luis.

with respect
