More than one Catholic "theologian" has come down the pike with the
message that even if you don't believe you should pretend you do in
order to be saved. Why take a chance?

They are saying, in other words, that their god is so stupid that he
won't know the difference between lip service and devotion.

I think most Christians subscribe to the idea of a stupid (almighty)
god. It would explain why they are so intent on "saving" others while
assuming that their own salvation is "in the bag." I guess they
missed the part about "Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First
Stone." Instead they spend their time feeling sanctimonious and sit
in judgment on the rest of humanity.

The Terminator pretty much has the same message as Jesus ("I'll be
back"), but Gaia is pretty hard-core. If Ayn Rand had a deity, it would
have been Gaia. She doesn't even want to talk to you until you've
proven yourself to be a hero. Climb up one of her 600 kilometer spokes
and you are by definition a hero. But there's only a one-in-thirty
