Both the Byzantine Orthodox and the Catholic Roman churches follow the
Hellenistic interpretation of St Paul - who elaborated on a
mystical/mythical Christ very far from the Jesus of the Gospel while
pushing aside St James and his Judaic current of Jerusalem and Antioch -
and to a lesser extent St Peter via St Mark who founded the Churches of
Egypt and Ethiopia.
