~ A CALLED MAN CAN BE REJECTED

It is true that the calling of God is because of God's sovereign
choice and grace. No man deserves to be called. Nevertheless, a
man's faithfulness must be tested and approved before he receives the
crown of life.

Paul wrote this about himself:

"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by
any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a
castaway." 1 Corinthians 9:27

As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other
gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

--Apostle paul

Sounds good, doesn't it? SOUNDS like something a believer in Christ
might really say.

But what is the truth behind what Donna Kupp teaches and believes?

How can we know if this woman is of God or actually a false teacher when
she speaks?

Paul gives us the answer:

2 cor 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve
through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the
simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth ANOTHER JESUS, whom we have not
preached, or if ye receive ANOTHER SPIRIT, which ye have not received,
or ANOTHER GOSPEL, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with
him.

2 cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of
light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed
as the MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; whose end shall be according to their
works.

Donna Kupp, for those who do not know, is a woman preaching a false
gospel with a false Christ that denies virtually every possible
essential of the Christian faith.

Note here paul's words about false teachers: they will actually be
"MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS"!!!!! Not antinomians, teaching lawlessness
and freedom to sin, but MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, teaching an
apparently good-sounding Gospel that is actually ANOTHER GOSPEL about
ANOTHER JESUS!

Let us test Donna Kupp's own words against the doctrines of
the New Testament and the Christian church, and see if we can determine
whether she is a servant of God, or actually a minister of Satan!

1. First, Paul warns that a minister of Satan will teach "ANOTHER
JESUS."

Is Donna Kupp's Jesus YOUR Jesus? Is her Jesus the Jesus of
Scripture?

While Donna Kupp just made a number of statements sound like something a
real Christian might make, we cannot make a judgment whether she is or
is not a true Christian based only on what she just posted here. We must
determine if she really teaches the same Jesus REAL Christians follow by
looking at statements she, herself, has made about Christ in the past,
that she may not throw out on a regular basis, because she knows it
reveals what she REALLY thinks about Christ.

So what does she actually say about the Jesus she follows, and
supposedly places faith in?

This...

>"In the beginning was Jesus

> and Jesus was with THE RULER,

> and Jesus was Ruler.

> The same was in the beginning with THE RULER."
>John was teaching that Jesus was our Ruler (our theos) and that
>Jesus was with the Father from the very beginning of creation.
>(Not that Jesus was one third of some mysterious and mind-
>boggling "Trinity" that no one had ever heard of.)

We can stop right there. Donna Kupp, denying the deity of Christ,
rewrites the Gospel of John in a manner that affirms that denial, so we
can either change all our Bibles to her new trenslation that "proves"
Jesus is NOT fully God, but some other sort of created lesser being, or
we can allow the sacred words of the apostle John to stand AS WRITTEN!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD
WAS GOD.

So we see her Jesus is ANOTHER JESUS that orthodox Protestants and
Evangelicals (and Catholics) DO NOT believe in.

For US, Jesus is God in flesh, fully God and fully man, and 2nd Person
of the Trinity she goes on to mock and deny.

2. Next, Paul warns that a minister of Satan will teach or operate under
a "DIFFERENT SPIRIT".

Does Donna Kupp teach and receive anoining by the same Holy Spirit that
REAL Christians follow?

Judge for yourself by her own words.

> The concept that the Holy Spirit is God is based on a single verse in
> Acts (5:3) where it says that Ananias lied to the Holy Spirit - and
> later it says that he lied to God.
> To conclude that the Holy Spirit is God on the basis of those verses is
> merely an interpretation which adds to what is actually written. Since
> the Spirit is the means of communciation between God and man, if you
> lie to the Spirit you are in effect lying to God. Are there any verses
> which actually say that the Holy Spirit is God?
> Not one!
> Jesus did not teach the Trinity, the apostles did not teach it, and it
> was not taught by church leaders for three hundred years after the
> death of Christ.

All REAL Christians believe not only in the deity of Christ, but also
the Godhood of the Holy Spirit. As we see from her own words, Donna
Kupp denies those two essentials of the faith, and proclaims the Holy
Spirit is only some nebulous "means of communication between God and
man"

So now we see she has fulfilled the SECOND warning of Paul--she has
A DIFFERENT SPIRIT than REAL Christians do.

By the way, her LIES about the history of the Trinity are instantly
refutable:

The deity of Christ was EXPLICITLY taught by Ignatius in the early 2nd
century

"To the Church at Ephesus in Asia . . . chosen through true suffering by
the will of the Father in Jesus Christ our God"
"FOR OUR GOD, Jesus Christ, was conceived by Mary in accord with Gods
plan: of the seed of David, it is true, but also of the Holy Spirit"

Letter to the Ephesians 1 110 AD

False teacher kupp also adds:

> There is no record of the co-equal, co-eternal, three-in-one God
> being taught by a single one of the early church fathers. It
> was not a part of Christian teaching until it was formulated by the
> Second Ecumenical Council at Constantinople in 381.A.D.

"No record"?

For the Church, although dispersed throughout the whole world even to
the ends of the earth, has received from the apostles and from their
disciples the faith in one God, the Father Almighty . . . and in one
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became flesh for our salvation; and in
the Holy Spirit

Irenaeus, before 200 AD

And at the same time the mystery of the oikonomia is safeguarded, for
the unity is distributed in a TRINITY. Placed in order, the three are
the Father, Son, and Spirit. They are three, however, not in condition,
but in degree; not in being, but in form; not in power, but in kind; of
one being, however, and one condition and one power, because he is one
God of whom degrees and forms and kinds are taken into account in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit"

Tertullian "Against Praxeas" early 200s AD

For Scripture as much announces Christ AS ALSO GOD, as it announces God
himself as man. It has as much described Jesus Christ to be man, as
moreover it has also described Christ the Lord to be God. Because it
does not set forth him to be the Son of God only, but also the son of
man; nor does it only say, the son of man, but it has also been
accustomed to speak of him as the Son of God. So that being of both, he
is both, lest if he should be one only, he could not be the other. For
as nature itself has prescribed that he must be believed to be a man who
is of man, so the same nature prescribes also that he must be believed
to be God who is of God. . . . Let them, therefore, who read that Jesus
Christ the son of man is man, read also that this same Jesus is called
also God and the Son of God"

Novatian, Treatise on the Trinity 11 235 AD

And now the capstone to Kupp's historial and TEXTUAL illiteracy:

The Lord says: 'I and the Father are one.' And again of the Father and
Son and the Holy Spirit it is written: 'And these three are one'.
Cyprian --Treatise 1 on the unity of the Catholic Church, chapter 6,
early 3rd century, PROVING THE LEGITIMACY OF THE COMMA JOHANNEUM KUPP
(and other historical illiterates) SAY IS A FRAUD.

3. The minister of Satan will also teach "ANOTHER GOSPEL."

Does Donna Kupp uphold the CHRISTIAN gospel? We've already seen she
denies and perverts the nature of Jesus Himself and the precious Holy
Spirit. But what is her actual gospel message? She talks about
obedience, and making Jesus Lord...but what does she really believe
about sin, justification, and sanctification? Does she ever lay out her
beliefs in clear language so the body of Christ can see and judge
whether she is or is not a fellow believer?

Yes!

Again, these are her own words:

>To be saved is the first step in the process of salvation. Those who
>are saved do not have eternal life -

Did you get that? THOSE WHO ARE SAVED ___DO NOT___HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!!!

LET'S CONTRAST THAT WITH SCRIPTURE:

jn 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, HATH eternal life;
and I will raise him up at the last day.

1 jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name
of the Son of God; that YE MAY KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that
ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

More from Donna Jupp:

> "If one who is born of God has truly repented of committing sin
> (chosen to cease from sin) and then deliberately commits sin he has
> despised the Holy Spirit, just as the OT the Israelites despised the
> Law of God. It is blasphemy!"
> "When we are converted all past sins are forgiven. After a person is
> born-again, only sins of ignorance are forgiven. If a person sins
> with knowledge and intent after that time, they have blasphemed
> the Holy Spirit and there is no more sacrifice for sin. See Hebrews
> 6:1-8; Hebrews 10:26-31."

LET'S CONTRAST THAT WITH SCRIPTURE:

Gal 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves
are ALSO FOUND SINNERS, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God
forbid.

Apparently, paul understood that even those justified in Christ STILL
SINNED!

Are we sure? Well, let's again test the doctrine of donna kupp by Paul's
own words, written in the last months of his life:

1 tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I AM
CHIEF.

Wait a minute--I thought Donna said any Christian who willingly commits
even ONE SIN is eternally damned!

Apparently, paul did not realize this when he acknowledged he was the
WORST of sinners in 67 AD when he wrote this, 30+ years after finding
Christ! Thus, he must have been guilty of blaspheming the spirit
according to false teachers harold and donna kupp

What else did Paul have to say about whether Christians do or do not
commit sin in romans 7?

18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:
for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I
find not.

19 For the good that I would I do not: BUT THE EVIL WHICH I WOULD NOT,
____THAT I DO___.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin
that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with
me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my
mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my
members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this
death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I
myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Does THAT sound like a man who has reached the state of sinless
perfection like Donna Kupp, who claims any sin she commits is 100%
accidental and unintentional??????

And this is her ultimate blasphemy regarding the blood of Christ...

> Blood of Christ covers: 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light,
> as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the
> blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (Only sins
> of ignorance)

Notice how donna kupp added the words "Only sins of ignorance" to
pervert John's words? Just as she did with the powerful passage in John
1:1, she rejects the message and inserts her own heretical words flat
out CONTRADICTING what was actually written! John says Christ's blood
cleanses us from ALL sin; Donna adds words to change it to all
UNINTENTIONAL sins, making the blood of Christ LIMITED in its ability to
atone for sin.

Kupp also has missed what Jesus said about how imperfect His followers
will always be:

Luke 4:4 And FORGIVE US OUR SINS; for we also forgive every one that is
indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from
evil.

Meanwhile, THIS is God's true message of salvation:

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

And while Donna Kupp blasphemes the gospel by claiming we keep--and
actually earn--our salvation through keeping the 10 commandments
perfectly, here is what the SCRIPTURE says about how we stay in right
standing security with God:

1 peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a
lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not
away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 WHO ARE KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD __THROUGH FAITH__ UNTO SALVATION
ready to be revealed in the last time.

So now we see her "gospel" IS NOT the gospel of the New testament. It is
a false gospel that...

A. Requires Bible verses to be rewritten in a heretical manner.
B. Requires adding a clarification to Scripture that TOTALLY overturns
what the Scripture actually SAYS.
C. Must deny the deity of Christ and the Holy Spirit.
D. Requires remaining in a state of salvation by keeping the 10
commandments PERFECTLY, or else the person is now damned without
possibility of repentance.
E. Blasphemes and limits the atoning power of Christ's blood to
"Only sins of ignorance."

4. As we noted, Paul says the MINISTER OF SATAN will actually appear to
be a MINISTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS! That is what makes them so deceptive.
They are serpents in the guise of sheep, preaching righteous living and
'keeping God's holy law' while in their hearts is satan himself, drawing
people away from TRUE righteousness, to a perverted notion of it based
on keeping commandments!

Take a look at Donna Kupp's deceptive posts, including this one. Every
one touts the keeping of biblical commandments, threatens people with
damnation for failing to keep biblical commandments, and threatenes them
with damnation if anyone should ever--EVEN ONE TIME--willingly BREAK a
biblical commandment.

So Kupp APPEARS to be preaching the righteousness of 'keeping God's holy
commandments'...yet she does it in a way that is an UTTER PERVERSION of
the gospel of grace, and comes right from the mouth of satan speaking
good things, and making her LOOK like a minister of righetousness.

So, summing it up, Paul says that a minister of satan will...

Preach another Jesus...
Preach under another spirit...
Preach a different gospel...
While appearing to be a minister of righteousness while doing so!

I believe Donna Kupp meets ALL FOUR CRITERIA.

Based on the totality of her teachings, I see no conclusion other than
that the "Jesus" she follows is a demon spirit, and the "Yahweh" she
speaks for is actually SATAN.

I am dead to the law by the crucified body of Christ. Are you?

The Saints Will Persevere
June 29, 2011
.Perseverance of the Saints
by Nathan Pitchford

What God begins, he finishes

Psa 138:8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast
love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Ecc 3:14 I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing
can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so
that people fear before him.

Isa 46:4 even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry
you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.

Jer 32:40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will
not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me
in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.

Rom 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

Phi 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you
will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

2Ti 4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me
safety into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and
ever. Amen.

Of all whom he has called and brought to Christ, none will be lost

Joh 6:39-40 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should
lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last
day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the
Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him
up on the last day.

Joh 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow
me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one
will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me,
is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the
Father’s hand.

Rom 8:28-31 And we know that for those who love God all things work
together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the
image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many
brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom
he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also
glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us,
who can be against us?

Rom 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or
danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed
all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in
all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor
things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Heb 7:25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who
draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make
intercession for them.

Heb 10:14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those
who are being sanctified.

God’s preservation of the saints is not irrespective of their
continuance in the faith

1Co 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the
kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor
thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers
will
inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality,
impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy,
fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness,
orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before,
that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Eph 5:5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually
immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Heb 3:14 For we share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original
confidence firm to the end.

Heb 6:4-6 For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those
who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and
have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the
word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they then fall away,
since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm
and holding him up to contempt.

Heb 10:26-27 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the
knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will
consume the adversaries.

Heb 12:14 Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without
which no one will see the Lord.

Rev 21:7-8 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be
his God and he will be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless,
the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns
with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.

Rev 22:14-15 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may
have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by
the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral
and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices
falsehood.

However, it is God who sanctifies us and causes us to persevere

Joh 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you
that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so
that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

1Co 1:30-31 He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God
made our wisdom and our righteousness and sanctification and
redemption. Therefore, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts,
boast in the Lord.”

1Co 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were
sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
and by the Spirit of our God.

1Co 12:3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in
the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say
“Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward
me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them,
though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

Gal 3:1-6 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before
your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. Let
me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law
or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the
Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so
many things in vain – if indeed it was in vain? Does he who supplies
the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the
law, or by hearing with faith – just as Abraham “believed God, and it
was counted to him as righteousness”?

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good
works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Phi 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now
not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your
own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you,
both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

1Th 5:23-24 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely,
and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will
surely do it.

Heb 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead
our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the
eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his
will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus
Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

1Jo 2:29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that
everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

Jud 1:24-25 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to
present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,
to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory,
majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever.
Amen.

"On the Enslaved Will"

Or

The Bondage of the Will

By

Dr. Martin Luther

INTRODUCTION.

Martin Luther, to the venerable D. Erasmus of Rotterdam, wishing Grace
and Peace in Christ.

THAT I have been so long answering your DIATRIBE on FREE-WILL,
venerable Erasmus, has happened contrary to the expectation of all,
and contrary to my own custom also. For hitherto, I have not only
appeared to embrace willingly opportunities of this kind for writing,
but even to seek them of my own accord. Some one may, perhaps, wonder
at this new and unusual thing, this forbearance or fear, in Luther,
who could not be roused up by so many boasting taunts, and letters of
adversaries, congratulating Erasmus on his victory and singing to him
the song of Triumph—What that Maccabee, that obstinate assertor, then,
has at last found an Antagonist a match for him, against whom he dares
not open his mouth!

But so far from accusing them, I myself openly concede that to you,
which I never did to any one before:—that you not only by far surpass
me in the powers of eloquence, and in genius, (which we all concede to
you as your desert, and the more so, as I am but a barbarian and do
all things barbarously,) but that you have damped my spirit and
impetus, and rendered me languid before the battle; and that by two
means. First, by art: because, that is, you conduct this discussion
with a most specious and uniform modesty; by which you have met and
prevented me from being incensed against you. And next, because, on so
great a subject, you say nothing but what has been said before:
therefore, you say less about, and attribute more unto "Free-will,"
than the Sophists have hitherto said and attributed: (of which I shall
speak more fully hereafter.) So that it seems even superfluous to
reply to these your arguments, which have been indeed often refuted by
me; but trodden down, and trampled under foot, by the incontrovertible
Book of Philip Melancthon "Concerning Theological Questions:" a book,
in my judgment, worthy not only of being immortalized, but of being
included in the ecclesiastical canon: in comparison of which, your
Book is, in my estimation, so mean and vile, that I greatly feel for
you for having defiled your most beautiful and ingenious language with
such vile trash; and I feel an indignation against the matter also,
that such unworthy stuff should be borne about in ornaments of
eloquence so rare; which is as if rubbish, or dung, should he carried
in vessels of gold and silver. And this you yourself seem to have
felt, who were so unwilling to undertake this work of writing; because
your conscience told you, that you would of necessity have to try the
point with all the powers of eloquence; and that, after all, you would
not be able so to blind me by your colouring, but that I should,
having torn off the deceptions of language, discover the real dregs
beneath. For, although I am rude in speech, yet, by the grace of God,
I am not rude in understanding. And, with Paul, I dare arrogate
tomyself understanding and with confidence derogate it from you;
although I willingly, and deservedly, arrogate eloquence and genius to
you, and derogate it from myself.

Wherefore, I thought thus—If there be any who have not drank more
deeply into, and more firmly held my doctrines, which are supported by
such weighty Scriptures, than to be moved by these light and trivial
arguments of Erasmus, though so highly ornamented, they are not worthy
of being healed by my answer. Because, for such men, nothing could be
spoken or written of enough, even though it should be in many
thousands of volumes a thousands times repeated: for it is as if one
should plough the seashore, and sow seed in the sand, or attempt to
fill a cask, full of holes, with water. For, as to those who have
drank into the teaching of the Spirit in my books, to them, enough and
an abundance has been administered, and they at once contemn your
writings. But, as to those who read without the Spirit, it is no
wonder if they be driven to and fro, like a reed, with every wind. To
such, God would not have said enough, even if all his creatures should
be converted into tongues. Therefore it would, perhaps, have been
wisdom, to have left these offended at your book, along with those who
glory in you and decree to you the triumph.

Hence, it was not from a multitude of engagements, nor from the
difficulty of the undertaking, nor from the greatness of your
eloquence, nor from a fear of yourself; but from mere irksomeness,
indignation, and contempt, or (so to speak) from my judgment of your
Diatribe, that my impetus to answer you was damped. Not to observe, in
the mean time, that, being ever like yourself, you take the most
diligent care to be on every occasion slippery and pliant of speech;
and while you wish to appear to assert nothing, and yet, at the same
time, to assert something, more cautious than Ulysses, you seem to be
steering your course between Scylla and Charybdis. To meet men of such
a sort, what, I would ask, can be brought forward or composed, unless
any one knew how to catch Proteus himself? But what I may be able to
do in this matter, and what profit your art will be to you, I will,
Christ cooperating with me, hereafter shew.

This my reply to you, therefore, is not wholly without cause. My
brethren in Christ press me to it, setting before me the expectation
of all; seeing that the authority of Erasmus is not to be despised,
and the truth of the Christian doctrine is endangered in the hearts of
many. And indeed, I felt a persuasion in my own mind, that my silence
would not be altogether right, and that I was deceived by the prudence
or malice of the flesh, and not sufficiently mindful of my office, in
which I am a debtor, both to the wise and to the unwise; and
especially, since I was called to it by the entreaties of so many
brethren.

For although our cause is such, that it requires more than the
external teacher, and, beside him that planteth and him that watereth
outwardly, has need of the Spirit of God to give the increase, and, as
a living Teacher, to teach us inwardly living things, (all which I was
led to consider;) yet, since that Spirit is free, and bloweth, not
where we will, but where He willeth, it was needful to observe that
rule of Paul, "Be instant in season, and out of season." (2 Tim. iv.
2.) For we know not at what hour the Lord cometh. Be it, therefore,
that those who have not yet felt the teaching of the Spirit in my
writings, have been overthrown by that Diatribe—perhaps their hour was
not yet come.

And who knows but that God may even condescend to visit you, my friend
Erasmus, by me His poor weak vessel; and that I may (which from my
heart I desire of the Father of mercies through Jesus Christ our Lord)
come unto you by this Book in a happy hour, and gain over a dearest
brother. For although you think and write wrong concerning "Free-
will," yet no small thanks are due unto you from me, in that you have
rendered my own sentiments far more strongly confirmed, from my seeing
the cause of "Free-will" handled by all the powers of such and so
great talents, and so far from being bettered, left worse than it was
before which leaves an evident proof, that "Free-will" is a downright
lie; and that, like the woman in the gospel, the more it is taken in
hand by physicians, the worse it is made. Therefore the greater thanks
will be rendered to you by me, if you by me gain more information, as
I have gained by you more confirmation. But each is the gift of God,
and not the work of our own endeavours. Wherefore, prayer must be made
unto God, that He would open the mouth in me, and the heart in you and
in all; that He would be the Teacher in the midst of us, who may in us
speak and hear.

But from you, my friend Erasmus, suffer me to obtain the grant of this
request; that, as I in these matters bear with your ignorance, so you
in return, would bear with my want of eloquent utterance. God giveth
not all things to each; nor can we each do all things. Or, as Paul
saith, "there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit." (1 Cor.
xii. 4.) It remains, therefore, that these gifts render a mutual
service; that the one, with his gift, sustain the burden and what is
lacking in the other; so shall we fulfill the law of Christ (Gal. vi.
2.)

LOL

Luther was wrong...

...but at least he wasn't a murdering bastard about it.

Cause leads to effect and effect leads to cause at the same time until
they collide and annihilate each other, leaving only truism in the wake
of time.

Paul didn't even get this concept at first, but had to back peddle on
his previous declarations on the subject in his later writings.

NO RECORD BY A "SINGLE ONE" OF THE CHURCH FATHERS???

We will prove that we worship him reasonably; for we have learned that
he is the Son of the true God himself, that he holds a second place, and
the Spirit of prophecy a third. For this they accuse us of madness,
saying that we attribute to a crucified man a place second to the
unchangeable and eternal God, the Creator of all things; but they are
ignorant of the mystery which lies therein.

CHURCH FATHER Justin Martyr around 160 AD

For the Church, although dispersed throughout the whole world even to
the ends of the earth, has received from the apostles and from their
disciples the faith in one God, the Father Almighty . . . and in one
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became flesh for our salvation; and in
the Holy Spirit

CHURCH FATHER Irenaeus, before 200 AD

And at the same time the mystery of the oikonomia is safeguarded, for
the unity is distributed in a TRINITY. Placed in order, the three are
the Father, Son, and Spirit. They are three, however, not in condition,
but in degree; not in being, but in form; not in power, but in kind; of
one being, however, and one condition and one power, because he is one
God of whom degrees and forms and kinds are taken into account in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit"

CHURCH FATHER Tertullian "Against Praxeas" early 200s AD

The Father's Word, therefore, knowing the economy and the will of the
Father, to wit, that the Father seeks to be worshipped in none other way
than this, gave this charge to the disciples after he rose from the
dead: "Go ye and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." (Matt 28:19) And by this
he showed that whosoever omitted any one of these, failed in glorifying
God perfectly. For it is through THE TRINITY that the Father is
glorified. For the Father willed, the Son did and the Spirit manifested.

CHURCH FATHER Hippolytus of Rome 220 AD

There is one God.... There is a perfect Trinity, in glory and eternity
and sovereignty, neither divided nor estranged. Wherefore there is
nothing either created or in servitude in the Trinity; nor anything
super-induced, as if at some former period it was non-existent, and at
some later period it was introduced. And thus neither was the Son ever
wanting to the Father, nor the Spirit to the Son; but without variation
and without change, the same Trinity abides ever.

CHURCH FATHER Gregory Thaumaturgus 265 AD

The purpose of this post is to show the actual truth about how ignorant
and unlearned Donna Kupp actually is, despite trying to pretend she is
some sort of legitimate historian on Chritianity.

Anyone who make THIS sort of claim...

> There is no record of the co-equal, co-eternal, three-in-one God
> being taught by a single one of the early church fathers. It
> was not a part of Christian teaching until it was formulated by the
> Second Ecumenical Council at Constantinople in 381.A.D.

...Has no business even giving an opinion on Christian history, let
alone teaching the Bible.

As wrong as she is about THIS, is as wrong as she is on every point of
theology she holds

As is always the case with heretics and cultists, the god of these
people must rely on his representatives speaking lie after lie in an
attemopt to deceive the sheep into following the false teacher and false
god behind the teacher.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his
subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is
in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth ANOTHER JESUS, whom we have not
preached, or if ye receive ANOTHER SPIRIT, which ye have not received,
or ANOTHER GOSPEL, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with
him.

Well...this post shows an example of what Donna and Harold Kupp find it
necessary to do in order to promote THEIR version of Christ and the
Gospel: Rewrite one of the most important verses of scripture, and
pervert it into a ridiculous statement of BS ...for certainly every
Bible that dares render the greek (correctly) as "The word was God" MUST
be wrong.

Apparently, only Harold and Donna Kupp know how to translate scripture
correctly.

Perhaps they claim the anointing and authority of Joseph Smith as well?

As wrong as they are on their 'translation' here is as wrong as they are
on EVERY POINT OF DOCTRINE THEY HAVE.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth ANOTHER JESUS, whom we have not
preached, or if ye receive ANOTHER SPIRIT, which ye have not received,
or ANOTHER GOSPEL, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with
him.

LET'S CONTRAST THAT WITH SCRIPTURE:

jn 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, HATH eternal life;
and I will raise him up at the last day.
