Hi Vassily,

Part of the problem is that we call things differently
in the States.

USA "Democrat" = Europe "Socialist" (England "Labor")
USA "Liberal" = Europe "Socialist"
USA "Conservative" = Europe "Liberal" (Jeffersonian Liberal)

And, Dear Leader has been a Socialist for a very long time. Actually
a bit of a Marxist. You can find a bunch of it in his book, "Dreams of
my Father" (I may have mangled the book's name). His "redistribution
of wealth" statement to "Joe the Plumber" caused a big brew-ha-ha.

I think the European method of labeling makes more sense. But
then again, our Democrats don't like to use the term "Socialist",
as it is seen a dirty word around these parts. (Yet they call
themselves Socialist when the give speeches in Europe, so who knows.)

No, the US democratic party is rightist in Europe. Obama is further
right than Bayrou for example.

No, there's no libéralisme in Europe (in the terms of Lysander Spooner
or Isaiah Berlin), the right-wing is a bunch of plutocratic fascist
oligarchs that strive to preserve their wealth at all cost. See the
Liliane Bettencourt (owner of L'Oréal and daughter of Eugène Schueller,
founder of L'Oréal and La Cagoule - The Hood - a powerful French fascist
organization that Schueller created and funded under the Occupation)
