Vladyka,

I didn't get it wrong, Mr. Nicholas Kobbs (alias Nick Cobb), a graduate of
St. Vlad's Seminary (but not ordained) apparently got it wrong. He posted
the following message to the world on alt.religion.christian.east-orthodox
USENET news group:

"+BT announced his intention of retirement, and on his request,
the assembly petitioned Fr. Benjamin Peterson to be our next bishop.
(OCA Western Diocese)
"Motion was reportedly preapproved by Herman and Syosset."

Let me know if you would like his address and telephone number, although his
address is listed on alumni page "K" on the web site of St. Vladimir's
Seminary.

And, I really meant my pleasant remarks about and to you. I have been
enriched by your candor.

In Christ's Everlasting Love,

Al

Dear Al,
After I received your message below, I forwarded the following message to
the Chancellor and Deans of the Diocese of the West. As you may see, I have
not retired. I'm sorry that someone, apparently on our Diocesan Council,
was so anxious to be seen to be the first to know something, got it wrong.
Love,
+B.T.

+B.T. probably will retire in a couple of years. He has tried before, but
retired Met. Theodosius always rebuffed him and refused to bring the matter
up with the OCA's synod. It's just not the done deal that our favorite
leftist would have us believe...that +B.T. is heading for the retirement
solarium at the local monastery to do water color paintings with other
relics of the Church. :-)
