check out the book "Haunted Indiana" ...
they have a full chapter on our old house. What's really
creepy is that things have become much worse there in
the past few years. I spoke with the owners wife a couple
years ago and she told me that one day, her 3 year old son
atrtled her by jumping into her arms from the 4th or 5th step
up on the stairs when she summoned him to come downstairs.
When she told him it was dangerous to do that, he replied:

The previous occupant that bought it from my mom (the father of the
mother I sopoke of above), at some point decided that he would
not be anywhere in that house without his hunting rifle within reach
at all times. I spoke to him 5 years or so before I spoke with his
daughter, when he had only lived there a few years. He started having
strange experiences just a few weeks after moving in. Loud crashing
noises down stairs at 2 or 3 AM- but upon investigation, nothing has
been disturbed. Voices talking and laughing starting out very faint, but
getting loud enough to make him check out what's going on (nothing
as usual). That was one of the creepiest things I experienced but I like
to think I was just having one of those half-awake dreams... LOL
I've had several weird experiences there as have most family
and neighborhood visitors over the years. Examples range from
accidentally dropping a lit cigarette, and it is nowhere to be found
to *carrots* dropping on people's heads out of nowhere. I'm not
joking. I won't get into the more intense strangeness that I and others
have witnessed out of fear of being called looney... ( :

I must have missed your first discussion about this. I really
thought I could see a few more faces in those windows....very strange
if the ghosts come up to the window because they are curious or lonely
and peer out and have their photo taken...makes them sound like they
are able to think and move around...i thought ghosts were after
images, manefestations that appeared under certain conditions... I've
heard some interesting civil war ghost manifestations. Very
interesting.... and scarey....carrots falling on people's
heads....weird....did you live there as a child???? or after you were
practicing...i'm wondering if the Daimoku would make "them " rest in
peace.
I want to hear more of your experience...promise I won't think you're

prize! Where we live now, my husband works evenings, and I hear
footsteps all the time, up and down the stairs, or if I'm downstairs,
I hear them back and forth in the bedroom. That's the worst of it, and
I want it to stay that way. LOL. I have no problem believing in souls
being "lost" but they still give me the creeps! I will check out that
book when I get the chance, but I'll make sure I don't read it at
night! (Have you seen the movie "The Others" with Nicole Kidman?
Really gives you a different perspective on ghosts and hauntings.

I just thought you'd like to hear this one though:
I used to work in an old rennovated house years ago that was built in
the 1800's that apparently someone had been murdered in. People
working there had heard terrifying sounds coming from the basement at
all hours of the night. I chanted for a whole week in that house
while on duty during the night, to rest the deceased and move it on
to its next journey.
The sounds and eerie atmosphere disappeared shortly afterwards and a
peaceful atmosphere returned..

I agree.
However, the strangest thing about my 'encounter' was that I didnt
really encounter anything at all. Everyone else seemed to be hearing
these noises and feel the atmospheres - except me. At that time I was
very involved in a lot of hours of chanting for various reasons, so
perhaps that was the protective barrier I dunno.
I put a lot of this stuff down to unnecessary superstition also since
it created a collective fear among everyone working there - except me.
I reckon the Priest was right - one daimoku - and poof!
There is nothing to fear except fear itself....

Years later, I stayed in my old house right before my mom sold it in 1986,
and that's exactly what I did. After that it was quiet... until the new owners
moved in anyway!

freaked out people and fakery. There are no Ghosts, but there are "haunted
minds," it is just a psychosis and has nothing to do with science and true
psychics. The human brain can fill in the details or all types of imagery,

So here is the bottom line. People with superstitious and nutty ideas
pretending to be Buddhists get absolutely nowhere if they are not in unity
and creating a peace movement. Otherwise they are just warp outs. Now the

his fake "Aura," machine website his "Chakra Chart". Now does anyone
realize that that Chakra Chart comes from SHINGON interpretations of
tantra? the real cosmic connection is the connection with insane, perverse

No one knows a thing do they? they figure they can believe and behave as

At 10 years old, I was "openminded" about "ghosts." but after I learned of
the true nature of things and how it all really happens, through actual
inner buddhist experience, such silly ideas vanished.

People who are mentally disturbed will see ghosts---that aren't

"Entities," experienced by people in various altered states are strictly
manufactured by the brain in a primitive way of trying to understand
phenomena. It is disturbed brain chemistry.
One can see all kinds of "Entities" in various altered states but none of it
is real except to the people who latch onto lower level experiences,
thinking they are real. Buddhism instead, taught, "Neither be repulsed or
attracted," to such apparitions--that they are simply mechanical
regurgitations. It can be fun in moives but it is all nonsense and Craigs
"experiences" with ghosts is simply mental problems fused with total naivite
about reality as it is, just as Marc's beliefs in John Edwards. Of course
when Mercia mentioned Uri geller Craig posted a bunch of hate posts about
Uri geller, who in fact is a very intellegent, very scientifically minded
person.
Mind readin can be real and so can spoon bending, but it has nothing to do
with "spirits of the deceased," except in terms of superstition, and
throwbacks to ways of religions bringing in money.

About a month ago David Cole published Karyn's personal information
in addition to accusing her of chasing after him, even though she is married,

In addition he even said that she was "into B&D" If I hadn't seen David's
smear campaigns in action before, he may have convinced me that there

I don't have a clue as to why you choose to ask one of David's victims to

There is no fight. David has decided that anybody that doesn't want to
unify with Soka Gakkai must be punished and intimidated into complying
with David's wishes. I have chosen to call him on his behavior, in public,
since that is the venue he has freely chosen for his charade. If David wishes

There is no fight. David has decided that anybody that doesn't want to

address himself. As for me choosing sides. This has nothing to do with

friends for many years. I can only express my observations and views in
relation to David based on the experience I have with him. Thus far he has

treated me with respect, consideration and honesty. I have no reason to

I get on with people from within Hokkeko, from the Shu, from the SGI, from
the Independents, from other Buddhist Sects and from non-Buddhist
background. The first time I mentioned the word 'love' amongst my Hokkeko

Unable to love himself – the narcissist is unable to love another. He regards
and treats people as though they were objects: exploit and discard. He
mistreats people around him by asserting his superiority at all times, by
being emotionally cold or absent, by constant bickering, verbal humiliation,
incessant (mostly unjust) criticism, by provoking uncertainty and by actively
rejecting or ignoring them. All his interpersonal relationships are deformed and
sick. The longer the relationship – the more it is tinted by the pathological hue
of narcissism. In his marriage, the narcissist recreates the conflicts with his
Primary Objects. He is immature in every walk of marriage, sex included. He
would tend to select the wrong partners or spouse.
He would do everything to lead to the fulfilment of his greatest horror: being
deserted. Even the staunchest supporters and lovers ultimately abandon him.
The narcissist then experiences the horrifying complete breakdown of his defences.
He then, naturally, feels lonely – but his loneliness is of the existential, almost solipsist
type. The whole world seems unreal to him, possessed of a nightmarish quality. He
feels disproportionately guilty and assumes all the burden of blame, allocating none
to his partner. Those moments may be the only occasions in which he is in touch
with his emotions – an experience the narcissist is trying to avoid all his life and at
all costs to his mental health. Learning the truth about his emotional infirmity – the
narcissist often entertains suicidal ideation. He cannot countenance deforming his
body, so he is be inclined to use sleeping pills. Even in dwelling upon the thought of
death, the narcissist sticks to his old habits. But, soon enough, the narcissist will have
recovered and escaped to a new psychosexual liaison. Another toy, another object of
gratification will have entered his world. His emotional wounds are shallow and they
heal fast. Only the wounds to his Ego leave scar tissue behind them, a reminder to be
ignored as often as the narcissist can.
