Annex answers: "David may or may not know why he knows to wear warm clothes
in the winter. Most likely he does this to keep warm, as he was taught by
his mother. Are you asking why YOU wear warm clothes in the winter, or how
you know too? Same answer, you were taught to. Look to those raised by
wolves, do they wear clothes at all? No! Why not? They weren't taught to. Do
you ask how WE know to wear warm clothes in the winter? We don't. There is
no winter here. We wear what garments our souls prefer. Though we don't need
any. Neither would you, if you had been taught another way to keep warm.
Your question is somewhat unbelievable to us. And do not go forth and say,
"Oh, that is because the angels are not real, for they are not able to read
my mind!" We read your mind loud and clear. It is a mistaken and confused
mind which has a path of its own which allows no other love or care or
thought of another upon it. It is a self-centered mind and a mind which
perceives doubt, evil and sinful passions in everyone but itself. We hereby
declare we refuse to answer any and all types of these testing, provocative
questions which only seek to malign in their obscufications and morbidity."

Interesting post. I've been gone a few weeks and it's rather refreshing to
see some "new posters" in here, even if they do disagree with the powers
that be, infact, that's what's refreshing about it. I've been doing a
little thinking about this ng and it reminds me of those "high class" kids
in school who always made fun of or called anyone names who were in the
least bit "different". I've seen Mark ridiculed and run out of here several
times just in the short few months I was here, shame on you people. None of
us has all the answers I don't care what any of you say. I find Annex's
post to be a pleasant change from the "I Love Raine" fan club. We're all
only human whether we choose to believe it or not and...to follow
Chorozon's manner of thinking...mental institutions are full of people who
believe they have ALL the answers. This isn't a prep club, it's supposed to
be a ng where people can "discuss" and "share" ideas...it is FAR from that.
Well, I've had my say for awhile. This is CAT signing off and wearing her
"ignorance" like a cloak...keeps me nice and warm in the winter...I too was
taught to "dress warm" when it's cold. One of those "human" things.
I don't know who you are, but already I love you. Jeffrey D Johnson
PS - Shiva, just in idle curiousity about what your full-blown attack might
be(my guess is: "You're not worth attacking."), i'm going to provoke you:
You're a fucking moron. Do your worst, big daddy.
>Really, I kinda feel sorry for people who pity other people... I don't
>thimk they get it.
Then explain it to me.
I don't know that feeling sorry for someone and feeling pity are the
same thing, at least not to me.
And I need no one to feel sorry for me, or to pity me, just for the
record.
Jana (O:

Notice how that made you feel? St. Albans probably feels the same way, pity
always seems condesending to me; when you say you pity someone, you are
saying you are in some way superior to this person; it's one of those baby
and the bath water things... This kind of self serving crap makes me want
to yak!
It appears to be nothing more than egotism disguised as sympathy. If he
didn't get 'it', why didn't you try to explain it to him? Or were you more
interested in enjoying your own learned status than contributing something
helpful?
I don't pity you, or anyone else, your paths are not my paths... what
appears to be a bridge to me, may be a wall to you, or vice versa... I can
say what something looks like from here, but it does not confront me...
finish your own path first, then if you still pity us, come back and get
us.
Can't seem to find my bible... three translations of the Bhagavad Gita, five or
six more of the Tao... a Popol Vuh, yet another two volume of the Upanishads,
and a copy of Tantraraja Tantra (downstairs)... guess I will have to search
upstairs after all.
BTW glad you're 'back.' And to clear up what Misunderstanding may lay between
us; I did not call you ignorant or stupid; I said I would not imply these
things to you (or anyone else), if these were my feelings, I would be direct...
I don't like subtly, too much room for interpetation in the world already,
their are enough barriers to communication... sometimes I am one :-)

"Do your worst, Big Daddy"? What, were you a beatnik in the fifties? Or do you
just have a problem with father figures who represent your distorted

"high class" kids? And who do you think are the "high class" kids here? And
what made you think they were then? Sounds to me like you used "high class" the
way they said "no class." But it always seems to come back to that for you...
You resent others gifts and refuse to acknowledge your own, even though a lot of
us on this ng pointed them out to you many times, when you whined you had
nothing to offer.
You would not believe us that you do, you wanted no ones recognition... you've
chosen to pull out only what you could use to reaffirm your feelings about

you here, you will find a way to play the wounded bird again...

Then work to change it through your posts, or whine and complain while

I completely agree, however, I do believe its better than your little allusion
to homosexuality that you sent flying my way last time. Not only did you use
homosexuality as an insult(which would only be seen as bad by the christian
coalition), but you didn't even have the nuts to come out and say "You're a big
flaming fag." So, until you can come up with something better, don't insult my
insults.
Jeffrey D Johnson
I'm not sure I can explain this well enough to satisfy you or anyone
else. It goes back to my post about truth. What I believe is what
feels right for me. If it doesn't feel right for you, so be it.
Your version of the Bible is not the same as mine, as I'm sure it
isn't the same as a lot of others seeing as how there are so many
different versions and translations. I agree, what you posted here
from your bible isn't very clear. My bible asks the question pretty
directly Job 37:17 "How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the
earth by the south wind?"
I suggest to anyone who doesn't understand this question, or the
reason for it, to search the dejanews archives. No one gave me the
answer to this question, and I am still working on the complete
answer. If you don't agree with the importance of this and the other
eleven questions, so be it. I do and because it feels right to me to
do so, I know it is true for me.

Why do you see yourself as being pitied? I don't recall ever having
said that.
Thank you David for that inspiring post. It's good to be back.
CAT
David, tell me you have no idea that there are classes not only in this
country but in this ng. Anyone who is not aware of this lives in a vacuum.
I notice you totally ignored the part of my post about Mark, isn't it true
he's been run out of here time and time again? What gives anyone in here
the right to call him "deluded" or anything else...any on-looker might think
the same about most of the rest of us in here. We're all entitled to our
own opinions whether others agree with them or not. You folks need to
remember that it "takes all kinds to make a world".
>Then work to change it through your posts, or whine and complain while

The only respect I'd like to see in here is a respect for other people's
ideas no matter how "off the wall" some might believe them to be. Go back
and read the names posters have been called in here. So what if the
heiarchy doesn't agree with what someone else says, does that make it any
less informational? You can convince more through patience and
understanding than through that constant name calling.

And once again, I never said I didn't care about other people's
feelings. I NEVER set out to intentionally hurt anyone, so if it
happens, should I take the blame? I don't think so. If I had
intentionally set out to hurt someone, then yes, I shall take the

No, I don't need anyone to do anything for me. I happen to know what
condescend means, but it is also in the way it is intended that is
important. I didn't intend to appear condescending, and I admitted
that maybe that is how I meant it after all. I make mistakes, and I
own up to them. But I have never been one to look down at another

Okay, so in here alone we have three different translations of the question
Raine posed to Annex...I am to presume that only Raine holds the key to
exactly what the correct response should have been? It seems the deck is
rather stacked in "her" favor then, huh? I'll be interested in seeing
exactly what happens next between these two forces...Raine/Annex...

Dear Jana:
I do appreciate you're sharing your views on the Job verse with me but I
must admit I still don't really understand. I will give you my own
interpretation of Job 37, 14-20...
I take it to mean that we do NOT know why or how god does anything because
we are not "perfect in knowledge" as god is. For what it's worth that is
what I believe this to mean.
Respectfully yours, CAT

Because I don't subscribe to the "even the criminally insane have a right to
live." If someone steals they are a thief. If they kill twelve people because
the color blue sets them off they are a serial killer, and if you've taken the
time to read my posts you will see that I came around to the position that since
Marks posts harmed only himself, that further attack was unnecessary.
And if I may anticipate your next question? Mark wanted more than just
validation for what he believed, he wanted converts; and it wasn't happening. He
became more frustrated and agitated and his posts more distorted and
belligerent. Even as Gabriel or Shiva stated that they disagreed Mark would turn
that around and claim this disagreement signified acceptance... Their was no
reality testing going on here, just some kind of onomatomania

The NIV says "(17) You who swelter in your clothes when the land lies
hushed under the South wind, (18) can you join him in spreading out the
skies, hard as a mirror of cast bronze?"
And what was the original question: "Do you know why your clothes keep
you warm in the winter?"
It seems that the NIV would be asking the opposite question as in the
northern hemisphere, south winds are typically in the summer time.
Perhaps her question should have been, "Do you know why your clothes
make you hot in the summer?"
Regardless, it is obvious that it was meant as a test. And, there would
have been no acceptable answer for JhiaRaine other than a simple "God
only knows." Mind you, these questions were not said ot be
unanswerable, but simply unanswerable to Job. Needless to say, modern
science could produce many acceptable answers for at least two or three
of the twelve. In which case, I have another bible verse to throw back
at JhiaRaine (not my usual way of debate):
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge
others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you."
This does not mean that you should blindly accept all things, but simply
that you should keep an open mind and not be too quick to judge.

You have no purpose.
You are about as honest as the rest of the entire collective bunch of
self-gratifying, swamp-garbage that had the ignorance to use your post
as a personal attack ground against me without having the nerve, which
at least Chorozon did, to come straight out and at me personally.
Suggests to me that none of the posters to this thread except for a
couple, had anything worth saying or listening to and they knew it,
including you.
If you can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen. If you
can't understand English, why did you bother to ask anyone to ask
questions?

I ask who are YOU that you would ask for questions and then flog someone
for asking because YOU are too thick to even get the question, let alone
the answer? And you have the nerve to try and tell someone you can
answer their questions? If this is the best you can do, you blew it.

Obviously I AM someone. You are reading the words I have posted here. I
don't ask anyone to ask me questions and then flame them for asking. I
either answer as honestly as I can, or refer them to someone or some
reference material that will. All you have spoken here are generalities.
Just like the telephone psychics you claim to want no part

Jeffrey, I have already put you in your place. You are a flea. And CAT,

This is MY answer to YOUR answer, Poodle-wits:
This is so off the wall, it is sickening. How dare you assume such a
position of stupidity and post it as a *message* from angels? Or did you

Yeah, Jahweh answers too.....
If *David* doesn't know why he does or doesn't do anything, then he
might as well return to the 1-900 number he came here from. Does Don
know why HE does anything?
Clue: This question had absolutely nothing at all to do with *clothes*.
So to answer a question without knowing the premise is doubly stupid.
Make that 1-1800.

Obs-cu-fi-ca-tions? Don't you know we can't read words with more than
two syllables? We can spell them though.
Right, ANUS. That is exactly correct. I obfuscate and malign, with
repeated morbidity.
Pretender! You know me NOT! As to the question, you know IT not.
> >This is not a phony question. It is a necessary question. The answer is
> >needed for guidance.
Let me repeat the question in plain English, Faker. Then post it to your
ANUS and I shall be on pins and needles waiting for your next dumb
flame.
The question is, in fact, about something you are obviously lacking in.
It is called thought, brains, that kind of thing.
Do you know WHY you KNOW ___________ anything at all?
What do you NEED before you can KNOW or be TAUGHT any thing at all?
Do you know why you THINK....or others do, you don't seem to....?
When did you receive the gift of reason?
WHY did you receive the gift of reason?
Where did it come from? No one TAUGHT it to you.
HOW do you KNOW you are warm?
HOW do you KNOW you are cold?
Now that is only part of the question, one lousy question that your
group mind couldn't even understand, so instead of seeking
clarification, you chose to respond in a way that the question was not
posed. It was an honest question and no flame was ever intended. But you
did not deserve even that much respect, therefore, you get none.
You are a fool.
And, Cat??? You have one hell of a lot of nerve.
And Jeffrey, cocka-doodle-do!
You are both just too classy indeed for my humble self.

What you appear to be lacking, sir, is the ability to read a sentence
correctly. I ignored the first, but I must tell you, I do not like to be

think I do or do not know, or more annoyingly, someone who answers a

Was *prey* a Freudian slip? Seems I have turned into prey by a number of
you here. That is fine. Maybe Boggle was right. Except prey, by your
definition, is something you stalk or hunt. In this case, you have
created a paradox. First you tell me how bad I am, then proceed to tell
me I am loved. Are you nuts???? You post to an entire thread of swill
directed at me, and then tell ME what I *appear* to be lacking?

Excuse me. I cannot accept an answer to a question I never asked. As to
the question I DID ask, no one understood the question, so many answers
that would have been acceptable were never attempted. It isn't for me
anyway. The answers are for yourselves.

I do not blindly accept all things, my friend, but I do not answer posts
when I don't know what they say either so that when I do respond, it is
with at least a small measure of understanding just what, and in what
context, the post was written. A bit of advice some of you more virulent
posters might want to explore before you use your anger as an excuse to
make personal attacks. All you ever do by posting angerly for no reason
is to show your own weaknesses.
>
> Peace,
BTW, has it occurred to any of you that you all used revised or *new*
revised editions of Christian Bibles to take your *quotes* from? And did
any of you bother to notice that G-D never gave Job an answer? All G-d
*gave* him were questions. The words might be different in different
editions, but the reason for the Book is always the same. The REASON is
reason. These are the things man has to learn. Pay attention instead of
blindly attacking everything that moves in a different direction than
you do.
As Jana repeated, there are none so blind as those who refuse to see.
The questions in Job were not based on religion. They were not simply
based on science, for science, as it is known, is often wrong. It is a
book of guidelines that is a roadmap to the stars. And if DHE looks in
HIS reading material, he will find the SAME questions with different
words. They are essential questions. They are real and true questions
put to man before man knew to call himself *man*. These are questions
that tell you the knowledge you must have before your planetary bonds
are lifted.
Say what you will of me. Stomp your feet and holler until you are
hoarse. Shoot until your bullets are gone. The truth will remain the
truth whether you like it or not. And the TRUTH will set you free.

rather have Tomandsuny back...almost. For now, though, I feel better
than sitting and watching the heavy-duty build-up. One or two replies is
enough. Now they can fight their silly fight with each other. I don't
like gang-rape.
> 4. Most importantly! Make god damned INFORMED fuckin posts.
Seems you've nailed the problem. The uninformed pleading the cases of
the misinformed so they can all pile on those that ARE informed. Kill
the messenger, destroy the message, and everyone can remain ignorant,
lazy, manipulative, and cruel.

Sorry, I have an aversion to the Bible, even though I probably own about six
(just like anything, I never trust a single translation). The oldest one was
published circa 1890... I'm afraid this thread does not encourge me to look
there.
However, my sincere thanks to those few people who pointed me in the direction
of this quote, without mindlessly screaming that I should already know these
things... how long since last I opened a bible... don't know, when next I do;
I'll keep you posted!

(For the hundred time... I'm out of here) Answer to all of the above; YES! (do the

Actually, Raine has a degree in Anthropology; check her out in the Library of
Congress, she's contributed to several high brow (no, I didn't say class) journals and
scholarly publications.

You ain't related to Auntie Christ are you? Nope, I must be thinking of Auntie Thesis.
The Sufi would teach Joyous Dancing one place, use stories, be examples,
or work through an established religion; what ever the time or place
required; but it was always slightly different. Just a local example.
That the lesser Gods (now there's a concept), became the Angels or Demons
of modern mythology should come as no surprise... A lot of the familiar
names remained, for the Babylonians and Assyrians whose many influences
crossed time. There was a certain comfort to hearing their names
remembered; later in both Greece and Rome there was much comparison that
went on; not only did this serve to bring new followers into the fold, it
weakened many of the older systems of worship and belief.
I don't believe that certain religious systems are so dependent upon
milieu that they are unworkable; say here in America where I live for
instance. Hinduism as an example; at least one branch began over 6000
years ago, even a place like India changes in 6000 years; it picked up and
discarded it's share of cultural detritus, yet it still has many adherents
today; if there wasn't some flexibility built into the beliefs (like
adopting Gods and Goddesses), they would not have survived.

That's a great start Jeffrey,
It was funny, yet thrashing and you topped it all off
informatively.
Now all you need is a target.....not moi of course, that'd be bad.
I give it an 8.5
Rofocale
Dear Red Baron...I like that better. It matches your eyes. Anyway, the

all that sure that the persons I would frame that to would understand
how to say the word let alone know its meaning...

Oh, yes. He has had the pleasure many times although I don't think you
