such an idea that unbeliever's come into the world with eternal life is found nowhere in
Holy Scripture. some try to prove it by isolating the parable of the rich man and Lazarus
from the rest of the Bible and thus violate a basic premise of Biblical interpretation of
comparing Scripture with Scripture.
there comes then the need to change a great number of passages to fit the idea of
unbeliever's being born into the world with eternal life. one such passage would be
Ro. 6:23. it would then have to read... ' For the wages of sin is eternal life, but the
free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. " but the passage read's...
" For the wages of sin is death. "
after all, Christ paid the penalty for the sins of His elect ones, which was death. if
there was such a thing as an eternal, tormenting, burning hell into which one pay's for
all eternity the penalty of sin, then rightfully Christ would still be in eternal,
tormenting, burning hell so as to fully pay for the penalty of sin.
this one fact escapes everyone espousing an eternal hell for unbeliever's.
in 1 Cor. 15:51- 56 Paul goes on to say that at the return of Christ, commonly called the
Rapture, the bodies of His elect will be raised incorruptible while no mention is made of
the unbelieving non-elect as being raised. what then became of the unbeliever's who have
eternal life also ?
the fact is, they are dead. these came into the world at birth dead in trespasses and
sin's ( Ps. 58:3; Eph. 2:1-3 ) where then did they get eternal life since Adam and Eve
lost that in the Garden when they transgressed ?
" They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore
hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish. " Is. 26:14
when God says " they are dead, they shall not live " and that " they shall not rise "
means exactly that.... no unbeliever has eternal life. which will win... denominational
tradition or the Word of God ?
immortality is a pagan Greek idea popularized by the philosopher's of ancient Greece.
other cultures had such idea's but the Greek philosopher's are the ones who influenced
pagan Roman thought which eventually trickled into the pagan Christianity the Church of
Rome is famous for. the wages of sin for which Christ paid the penalty of for the sins of
His elect ones was His death.
it is wholly without warrant to say unbeliever's terminate in a conscience, burning,
eternal, tormenting hell fire when the Bible says to the contrary. such is used as a tool
to scare people into " accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior " so co-redemption and the
pride of personal achievement will win out over salvation by grace alone.
> the whole idea of an eternal, burning, tormenting hell into which all unbeliever's go
> teaches that unbeliever's have eternal life. so then, not only do the elect of God have
> eternal life but all persons have eternal life... believer's an unbeliever's alike.
Those who suffer eternally in hell are not said to have eternal
"life", but eternal "death". "Life" is the quality of existence
for the saved. "Death" is the quality of existence for the
eternally damned.
Revelation 20:11-15 NIV
(11) Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on
it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place
for them.
(12) And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the
throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is
the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had
done as recorded in the books.
(13) The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and
Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was
judged according to what he had done.
(14) Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The
lake of fire is the second death.
(15) If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life,
he was thrown into the lake of fire.
2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 KJV
(7) And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord
Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
(8) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God,
and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
(9) Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the
presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
(10) When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be
admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you
was believed) in that day.
Thus the Bible plainly teaches the everlasting destruction of the
lost, and this quality of existence is referred to as "death",
not "life". The entire objection to the concept of eternal
damnation is based on wishful human reasoning and
rationalization, not what the Bible says. If you want to avoid
eternal damnation, then accept the provision God made for your
sin, which is Christ's death and resurrection as the payment for
it. Anything else is simply a rejection of Christ, God's love,
and God's offer of eternal life.
--
Have you heard Christ died for our sins, and God raised Him
from the dead? Did you know God saves you from hell and
gives you eternal life through faith in this finished work alone,
not your merits (Jn. 3:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-3; Eph. 2:8-10; 2 Thess.
1:8-9)? This is so man cannot boast, and God alone gets the
glory (Eph. 2:8-9).

> Those Who Reject Christ Will Be Punished With Everlasting Destruction
Abraham , Moses, David, Solomon and the prophets never knew the historic
time / space Jesus of Nazareth and must therefore be burning in Hell as we
speak.
Saint Paul also never knew the historic time / space Jesus of Nazareth and
must therefore be burning in Hell as we speak. Paul only knew "dead Jesus"
/ "Christ crucified".

"All things are probable. Try to believe. Really! Try to believe even if
it's bloody stupid and irrational. Why? Because I said so, that's why!
Don't ask questions. Just believe." - Mark 17: 1- 3 (MTV)
