New Support Group for Drinkers

Hi.

I'd like to introduce myself as the secretary of an exciting new
support group for drinkers - called Alcoholics Unanimous.

If you are thinking of giving up drinking, just phone one of our
sponsors here at Alcoholics Unanimous, and we'll soon persuade you to
have a drink.

Do we get to vote?

Have we a veto if we do?

Is there a Commissioner for each brand of drink?

Alcoholics Unanimous is now expanding rapidly on all continents.

You too can make a difference at local level.

Apply to be AU co-ordinator in your town.

Request the use of your local community centre for AU meetings.

Hand out AU leaflets on the streets of your town. Leave AU leaflets in
telephone kiosks, on bus seats, on park benches, in doctors' waiting
rooms..... and spread the AU message by word of mouth to your family,
friends, work colleagues.

And remember, if you ever feel you want to stop drinking, help is
always at hand. Our local branch of Alcoholics Unanimous will get a
sponsor or volunteer to you at any time, day or night, and we'll soon
persuade you to have a drink with us.
