Yesterday in the den I took all the crap out of
the end tables and off the tables including the
dining table and I vacuumed a freaking big bunch
of cat hair from our recliners and put the afghans
we keep on them in the wash. I scrubbed the den
trash can and the very disgusting kitchen trash
can.

Mother and I moved all the furniture to one side
of the den and cleaned the walls and floor and
baseboards. Then we cleaned the tables and moved
everything to the other side and cleaned the other
side of the room. Before that, we took a busted
old loveseat out of the den and loaded it in my
dad's pickup so they could haul it to the dump.
DH has been about to do that for several weeks now
and we were tired of waiting.

We moved the china cabinet from the kitchen to the
place where the love seat used to be and put a
smaller cabinet, that I stained last week, in the
kitchen. The cats have always lay on a small pink
afghan I kept on the love seat, so I put a rug in
front of the china cabinet and put the pink afghan
on that so they have a semi familiar place they
can lay that's not directly on the cold, hard
linoleum. I may eventually get them some pet
beds to put there, they've never had beds so I'm
not sure they would use them much but they have
been laying on the afghan some.

We also moved an old desk from my room, that I
cleaned out last week, to the guest room. Then we
put the rest of the furniture in the den back
where it goes. I vacuumed in one end of that
bedroom some this morning and thought about how I
want to arrange the furniture in there.

I still have bags and boxes of stuff from the den
tables, I put away or found other places for my
very small amount of crap from my end table. DH's
crap that was inside his end table is in 2 large
paper grocery sacks. Aside from a few items he
uses every day that I put back, the stuff from on
top of his end table and on top of the heater
(that he won't take out even though we have
central heat now) is in a large cardboard box,
including a stack of magazines a foot high. The
stuff from the dining table is on his desk in the
living room, a small file box of his mothers
stuff, some papers that were in a pile I put the
whole pile in one catfood box and put everything
else from the table that doesn't belong there in
another catfood box. OK, he's turned into his
father.

Last week I went through a bunch of DH's old
family pictures that were stashed out of sight all
over various places and put them in two boxes for
him to go through. A lot of really old, mostly
small photographs that were piled loose with the
others were all curled up so I got a big
dictionary and put them in between the pages and
stacked some other big books on top and his two
boxes of framed pictures on top of that, maybe the
photos will flatten out some, I hope.

Last night after dinner I took 2 Aleve and soaked
in the tub until they kicked in.

You can't have everything. . . where would you put
it?
