Things we like to do out here. it is Saturday... a crisp frosty
morning...
but spring is here!!!

The grandkids got a shock because grand-dad piled all this horse poo
up against the side of the house!

"what's grand-dad doing that for?" they said.

[Soon there will be a new grandchild... living next door....]

I planted peas in the poo and the grandkids can come and eat fresh
peas.

But I miss that hour or two sittin' on the tree stump. people round
here don't wave no more... just a few locals...

That is something we cannot change- progress. But to me progress is
when I loosen off a dead thought and flick it into the briar.

People came and built a dam here and brought progress. People
came who were loud and pushy. and who wanted things in a hurry!

Can't complain completely because some of the construction workers
brought the 12 step programme with them.

The old hotel is deep under water. And the bridge and the village
around
which I grew up.

One day us kids were playing along the road from the pub. With sticks
an'
stuff, as kids do. I saw a fire burning in an old willow over by the
creek.
Smoke mostly. Things were tinder dry round there at the best of times
with gorse and dry weeds all over the place.

So I ran over to the pub and told them to call the fire brigade. So
blow me
down we got blamed for starting the fire!

If I am digging up my deepest sense of shame it is about not doing
stuff
our parents should have bin doing for us..

I was the oldest and when i got old enough i would just walk home.
And i had the place to myself for hours and hours...

I loved to read and study. Looking back I loved nature. We lived in a
very natural...environment. I still remember being able to lie in bed
and see daylight through the wall.

At night i got scared because of all those old trees blowing around
our house. When I got the chance I cut them all down!.

So I have a passion for community, even in a busy world.

I will pass the time of day if I can, and I look for those
opportunities.

Thanks for reading my post here, and I hope you have a good day too!.

Kind regards,

David.

Those poplar trees were grown for shelter.
They were home to cats where they had their kittens...

a place for tree huts... a place to hang the washing line from off of.

I found wild be hives there and learned how to get the honey...
I still keep bees...

inside of the addictive family we don't talk about stuff much...

good memories, or bad times shared....

at times members of my family read these posts of mine
on arac.... but only to pass tittle-tattle back....

three way communication... but very little honesty...

These trees that you cut down. I want to explore that more. What is
the metaphor? (Okay I know you really did cut down the trees but what
is the metaphor?)

Did you get my text on your phone David? A while back I watched
Marcus Lush. He told me all about your place and I wanted to let you
know I was there...but you did not answer me. Were you tending your
garden?

Keep thinking I am getting to the end of the narrative about
recovery...

went through the graffitti stage and did a fair bit of 'sounding Off.'

Met some really worthwhile people and some will always be friends.

Went through a lot of 'hopes and dreams'. One of the big ones
was the find 'the collective unconscious'.

Think I am getting there... its really about normality.

I have been studying a lot of ancient stuff. Mostly around the Amarna
period 1400BC in Egypt. It keeps me out of trouble.

Our fruit season really began today. The first thinners coming in...
busy busy... and happy most of the time.
