I'd rather play with this GNU Toy of mine. ;-)

And maybe even brag a lil 'bout it. ;-)

Sit here and watch the squiggly lines for all four processors 'nd marvel
at how many resources I've still got to waste or tap if I wanna. Find
all the neat goodies that are hidden away in it just waiting to be
discovered like this wallpaper I never gnu was available in any OS with
all the facilities it got. Seen world lights, I've seen globes that
rotated with the time, and few other combo, but this one it seems like
some enterprising, innovative Geek combined all of it together with
bunch other stuff like satellite view, Google Earth, etc. into a
wallpaper that when the scroll button on the mouse is rolled, the zoom
in or out on the Globe is activated. Left button and drag one can rotate
the globe to any position. This first shot is showing zoom of Temple
area up in upper left and Houston lower right. Second shot is zoomed
back out into space and polar view of earth with European lights and
North American Daylight. It's like having Google Earth built into the
desktop. ;-)

Anyway, I did the latest Mandriva or Final 2010 64 bit release install
with KDE 4 yesterday evening and just now getting around to exploring
and tweaking it out. This release of Mandriva is kinda like Win 7. last
few Mandriva I run kinda sucked like last vista did, but they seem to
have got it all together on this release.

So...

I wound up with a 'chine that got Win 7, Mandriva 2010, Sabayon 5.0, and
Warren's yesterday's Maintenance upgrade of MEPIS in a Quad boot
configuration on a quad core 64.

That ought to keep me entertained until Monday or so. ;-)
