Both Windt <A HREF="http://www.bews.com/hover/">Universal Hovercraft</A> and
Weber (check <A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/~hovercraft/">The Hovercrafters
Resource</A> for Weber) are currently flying such craft, perhaps practical for
fun, only. I did my fly thing, see <A
HREF="http://hometown.aol.com/hiitec/kite/trike.html">Hang Gliding and the
Trike</A> years ago, also practical for fun, but with potential for commercial
use in larger sizes. I used wheels, as I flew low over farmland in south
Florida.
As far as putting wings on a Sevtec, I have not pursued that. For technical
reasons, there is no real advantage at staying within ground effect, as flying
at some altitude, even as little as 100 feet, is a lot more enjoyable and
practical
and much safer than being in a perpetual state of "final approach", and if the
vehicle is designed for it, can be just as efficient.
