Yeah, it's not as if he can pick up his crop and take it with him, is it?
So, is it best to camouflage your pot plants, or should they be bright, for
safety purposes?

My wife has been getting more into hiking, which is great, but there is
a problem: she trips a lot. Almost any hike above a couple miles,
she'll fall at least once. Usually she just skins a knee, but on a
steep and rocky trail last week, she landed on her foot and broke her ankle.
She was walking in low-cut shoes without a lot of traction, which was

So, there I was, wanting to go for a walk and wondering where to go. I
decided to walk on the side of the road down to a point 2 1/2 miles away and
walk back. When I got to the turnaround point, I crossed the road and
walked back. Later, after my shower, my left leg started to cramp up in the
butt area. Really cramping, and it took me a while to figure it out.

Howie, I started hiking again after a week to 10 days without any anterior
tibialis pain. However, about 5 minutes into each walk, the pain comes back.
I ignore it; it goes away within 5 minutes or so. I don't know if this is
the best approach, though. Should I rest it more? Take aspirin before or

I know some want to reduce 'color or visual
pollution' in the great outdoors, but I prefer the
brighter colors.
Recently I was backpacking (or tramping as they
call it there) in New Zealand. Some of the trails
became fairly dangerous with the steep cliff to
one side, the trail slick with wet rocks or mud

I started off hiking a 3 mile loop near the house. The next day, I had
shinsplints out of this world! I have tracked down the muscles responsible
for my discomfort and they are the anterior tibialis muscles. I looked up
some stretches for them, but when I do the stretches, I cannot feel these
particular muscles being affected.

I'm an avid hiker and am thinking about starting to do some
backpacking. Does anyone know of some good locations in Utah or Idaho
that are good trails or areas to start switching over to backpacking
and longer hikes? Thanks!

I have had a Gore-Tex jacket since 2005 and have learned how to use the pit
zips and cuff velcro to minimize moisture build-up, but the last time I went
hiking in Sep of 2007, I got wet fast. It was raining that morning, but
that wasn't the problem. I had the backpack on and started up a long
incline. It was that huffing and puffing on top of the steady rain that got

just curious if other's choose specific destinations or...
dropp
for instance. many times when i hike, we will have a meeting place and
generalized idea but it can change at a moment's notice and re-direct
out focus. And do other's sometimes choose destinations with other
ideas in mind, like historical sites, old sites. example again. today

This morning when I got to work, the seat belt buckle
wouldn't unlatch. Had to wiggle out of my truck in a most
undignified manner.
The release-button can be pushed down, but it seems to lack
the youthful springiness of the other belts.
Back home, I tried various putty-knives/shimstock, etc. to
try to trick it open, but no joy.
