These are called Daddy Long Legs or Harvestmen. These look a little
different from the ones we have in Piedmont North Carolina. The ones
pictured were on a trail post on the High Meadows Trail at the Blue Ridge
Music Center. They re more colorful than what I am used to seeing. They are
poisonous, but there mouth parts are too small to make them dangerous to
humans. Or so the guidebooks say. I haven't tested it.
