Is this site as lonely as the sport? Do we only get to hear from paranoid
brits? Where are the interested novice cachers from Minnesota? How do we
hide 50 caliber ammo cans? Hello.....

The site may be lonely, but geocaching is not. We often met other
cachers.
(Not to mention the events / mega-events with hundreds of other
cachers)

I've only just discovered the high level of activity in my neighborhood
and am just starting to look into geocaching. I plan to find the four
caches that are within one mile of my house (46º 17' 42.51" N, 118º 18'
05.85" W) this weekend and am eager to see what sort of stuff people
put into caches. I can't believe the number of cahces that are within
20 miles! Geochaching.com seems to be a great resource, but I thought
I'd see if any newsgroups existed as well, and found this one today. It
does seem to be a bit lonely here, but it's still an option for
discussion.

Thanks for the geo link. I'm in the US of A. I have a lot of friends in
New England who "letter-box". (Like geocaching, but residential.) I'd like
to find some people in my area who either letter-box or geocache.

Hi,
I've been watching this group off and on since I took up the game about 18
months ago. I wondered why there seemed to be a lack of activity, and
supposed that the forum in geocaching.com was where everyone met. Glad to
see someone about even if you are in the U.S. I'm in Aus - Atherton
Tablelands actually. "Danielc" the name.

Yes, I've had a look at it. Don't think I've posted anything to it, however.
When I first heard of the game, I was directed to geocaching.com and sort of
stuck with it.
