"They" is the Prison Industry and the Legal System that decides who's
inside and who's outside. It's actually easy to see who's who. The
kids of the rich still do drugs and things outside the law, but they
do not wear the hood and other paraphernalia that makes you look
"bad." That's subjective word, but you don't try to look bad when you
are not. I know this may counter some "pro hood" campaigns out there,
but collective wisdom is often manipulated and we don't need more
distractions, do we? The jungle is the reality.

Wow, a complex analysis, apparently comparing pears and apples, but I
see the same mechanism at work. We cyclists are discriminated by our
choice of vehicle, but I don't want to compare bicycles with hoodies
and lose our moral superiority compared to drivers. Actually I think
the system is quite happy to have those going to prison marked with a
hoodie, but unhappy that we ride bicycles. But that's only my humble
opinion.
