i'm new ta this list...but some advice

don't every go to a plantations party(if yer from madison/milwakee/chicago
area u'll know) i posted this on the madisonfamily group too.....sorry fer
my 1st post to be so negative
ok, this is kinda a downer of a note but it MUST be said....well i was
really excited to go to this at first because i thought i was gonna have to
work but i didn't, it looked like it could be fun. some ppl. wrned me about
plantations parties but i thought they were just exagerating...well they
wern't, not really (a little) first off i got there at about 7pm and started
to wait in line, the doors did open on time at 8, BUT i was all of 10 feet
from the door then and it still took an hour and a half to get in(that
really ruined it fer me, it took a while fer me to have fun) then as ppl
were coming in after god knows how long the security guards were yelling out
the things u couldn't bring in (all of this should have been in the flyer)
NO: nooks, lightstick or candy(yes candy), they were selling all that fer a
whole hell of a lot inside. now what ever happend to "friendly security"
like the flyer says? most of them were being complate asses, one told my
friend to get rid of her nook or leave (they WERE selling them inside) and
he wasn't at all nice about it....to say the least I will never go to a
plantations party again and i will try to keep my friends from making the
same mistake...yea "Because everything we do is 'Just for the Music'"
bullshit, charging me and my friends $30 to wait for fucking ever in line
and get treated like shit from security...should say "Everything we do is'
just to make a huge profit and rip you off'"
if i would have know it was gonna be like that i wouldn't have gone
although it DID take 'till midnight to finally have some fun it was allright
after that ('cause i avoided security at all costs) had a little cuddle pile
in the back of the smoking area(hi Amy R) and i managed to meet some chicago
ppl(hi stacy, trix and keebler)
but in the end nope not plantations

I wouldn't necessarily use this party as the rulers by which all others are to
be measured. One thing you really have to consider (maybe even more than the
lineup) are the promotors who are throwing the party. Your friends probably
knew this, which is why they told you not to go.
Some promotors could give a left testicle about the scene, and are just out
there to make money off of us poor kiddies. Consider this:

$25+ to get in
$3 - $5 for water
$5 for a pair of glowsticks

and times this by 4000+ kids....we're talking about alot of money changing
hands.

My advice to you is to remember the name on the top of that flyer...put them on
your shit-list, and never go to any of their parties again. It's obvious that
they don't care about you, the music, or the scene...so why should you support
them?
