Picked up the latest Blackmoon single the other day and Superlover Cee & Casanova Rud on wax a couple of weeks ago... Blackmoon "How Many Emcee's Must Get Dissed" b/w "Act Like You Want It" "How Many Emcee's..." uses the KRS-One sample from, "My Philosophy." i have a general question about rappers and the extent to which they are really "clocking" the cash they talk about in their records. it was my general impression about the music business that you really don't make any money on your first album since the record companies take a big cut off the top for "developing" a new artist.... more »
