With all polls not run by Republican activists or headline chasing,
terminally obscure oddities, showing Obama consistently above 50%
approval despite his having absorbed the full brunt of all the attacks
money can buy, while guiding America through the hard medicine phase
of recovery, it is will be interesting to see how high Obama's numbers
go when the Democrats pass health care reform.
The hysterical fear of the Republi-kook fringe is well founded, though
not for reasons involving health care, but instead their complete
seperation from power for a generation.
Franklin Etch: Rooting Out Fraud and Disgrace in the Land of the Free
Obama is over 50% approval only with Negros, Hollywood Loons, and
homosexuals. I suspect you belong to the latter.
Echhh is a leftcake, passing this without public support would kill Dems hopes
of retaining any seats up in 2010
You kook fringe types keep telling yourself that. We'll see where your
boy and the Pelosi led congress is this time next year.
Ask your mother. She probably doesn't know either. <snicker>
"Etch" is actually one of several socks used by a fellow by the name of Lou
Velasquez who works (or did work) at a car dealership in Torrance,
California. He was either fired or disciplined there for using the company
computers to post his drivel to Usenet several years back. He is better
known as "tomaxo" around this NG. By his own admission, he voted for Bush -
twice, and despite his advocacy for this moronic health legislation, he used
to sound off about his deep opposition to socialism. IOW, he changes his
positions to align himself with whoever is popular at the time. You can bet
that if the Repubs regain control or surge in popularity in 2010 he will do
a sudden turnabout again and suddenly become a re-born conservative. He
also claims to be a military "vet", but cannot post or expand on any service
he might have performed. He likes to bash those of us that did serve,
constantly haranguing us to "prove it", while he cowers behind his anonymous
socks refusing to even address his alleged military experience. He is
nothing but a mere troll, and doesn't really merit much in lip service. In
fact, we've just wasted too much bandwidth on him in this post.

Wow..."Colonel Fraud and Disgrace" Finally gets provoked into coming
out and stating his full "make something up" approach, including the
full name and place of employment of the person he is stating to be
"Tomaxo".
In addition to the interest this might generate from "Lou Velasquez"
when he does a Google search on his name, you provided yet another
opportunity for your massive embarassment to be added to.
As I "Tomaxo" have directly stated a specific medal earned (amongst
others) for my service in the Persian Gulf War, perhaps you would now
be brave enough to put your money where you rather blusterous mouth is
and submit an inquiry into false claims made by one "Lou Velasquez"
regarding military medals declared. As this would be a violation of
the "Stolen Valor Act" (something that clearly strikes terror into
your cowardly ass) THIS IS YOUR BIG CHANCE Timothy S. Watson sock
"COL. BILL KILGORE"!
Of course, as all of usenet knows Tomaxo is not Lou Velasquez, does
not know Lou Valasquez and has never set foot in the place of
employment you state Lou Velasquez works (or worked) at, no breath
will be held awaiting your response.

Voted for Bush in a plug-nose-and-vote manner in 2000. Never repeated
the mistake again. Your desperation is showing Timothy S. Watson sock
"Col. Bill Kilgore".
As Bush/Cheney increased spending at a higher rate than any president
since FDR, what's your point regarding "socialism"?

Let's do this one at a time of cowardly puss "Col Bill Kilgore".
Having already stated that, just like Hawkster the poster who goes by
"Tomaxo" has also been a recipient of the NDSM (one of many medals
earned). A statement that could be prosecuted under the Stolen Valor
Act, if not true (which is why you can't state any medals earned).
Your turn. Name a medal you earned as William S. Kilgore and I will
reciprocate with another. Until then accept the title of "coward", as
well as "proven fraud and disgrace" unfit to lick the boots of a real
vet like Hawkster.
Projecting again, I see. Meaning simply, again you have nothing.
......
>passing this without public support would kill Dems hopes

Um, actually exactly the opposite is true. Catering to the Republi-
kook fringe would be the only strategy that would cause Democrats to
fail. The resounding victory of Democrats in both the elections of
2006 and 2008 made clear that voters want the Democrats to do
something. The fact they have wasted time trying to "work with"
complete kooks bent of sabotaging the American economy (read the kook
fringe that is left of the Republican Party) has really pissed America
off at the Dem's. Resolving the Health Care mess without the kooks
would be recieved with broad approval by the American people.
At worst, the Dem's may drop the public option to accomodate centrist
Democrats. They will still pass a Healthcare plan, while Republicans
will be left looking on stupidly, which has become their role in
American politics, if you haven't noticed.

Polls that do not consistently trend 7-10 points in the Republican
direction against the average for all instances except the last minute
adjustment Rasmussen makes based on exit polls on election day so as
to pretend to be an "accurate" pollster.
Polls that do not show wild radical variance consistent with a
desperate attempt at getting headline grabbing attention, as Zogby has
been doing ever since his hanging his hat on what was now obviously a
coincidental "getting it right" on the 2000 election wore itself out
by one embarassingly and wildly wrong prediction after another
embarassingly and wildly wrong prediction over the subsequent years.
Here are some pollsters who have been pretty consistent, and have
traditionally had a high level of accuracy going into elections:
Gallup: presently showing Obama approval at 55% approval for the 9/1
- 9/3 period.
CNN/Opinion Research: presently showing Obama approval at 53% for the
8/28 - 8/31 period
Ipsos/McClatchy: presently showing Obama approval at 56% for the 8/27
- 8/31 period
CBS News: presently showing Obama approval at 56% for the same
period.
Pew Research: presently showing Obama approval at 52% for the 8/20 -
8/27 period.
Others, including FoxNews, NBC News and ABC News have trended closely
along the same lines.
First, let's see if you haven't changed your nym by then.
<snip>
Frank claps hands.........proven fraud and disgrace "Col. Bill
Kilgore" chases his tail uncontrolably.
Spam all the made up conspiracy facts on people you want Timmeh-bore,
all of usenet knows you are just running from the fact you can't name
a medal earned in your so often boasted 27+ year military career
because you fear prosecution under the Stolen Valor Act.
Now go away posuer boy, until you can prove yourself worthy of
conversing with a real American.
You're no older than 14, right, shitkicker?

VERY wrong in all respects.
There is broad support across all demographics for healthcare reform
in general.
There is the 20% or so wingnut fringe that strongly opposes and only
because they want Obama, not the legislation, to fail.
What's more important? Me changing my nym when I feel like or
Pelosi,Reid,Obama and his radical communist "Czars" destroying America?
WTF does my age have to do with Obama hiring
radicals,communists,felons and ant-capitalists as "Czars"?
You get your #'s from where?? Btw,Obama got 97% of the black vote.
What does that tell you?
....
> What's more important? Me changing my nym when I feel like or
The fact you don't have the balls to stick around under the same name
long enough to face the music when your predictions fall on their face
speaks for itself.

Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's
performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.
Rasmussen was the best predictor of the last election.
already covered above, when asked what "legitimate" polls were (and
generously copied and pasted below for your reading pleasure):
"Polls that do not consistently trend 7-10 points in the Republican
direction against the average for all instances except the last
minute
adjustment Rasmussen makes based on exit polls on election day so as
to pretend to be an "accurate" pollster. "
Get them healthcare numbers going, can the generic shit, he's tanking
on his policies bigtime
These must be very crushing times for you. Imagine how much more
painful its going to be for you in the coming months, as so many more
of your heros continue to limp into the obscurity of washed-out third-
tier smear artists like Laura Ingram.
