once in a blue moon,

OPINION: YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY !

since quite a bit of the public services have moved to digital
its not a cheap hobby anymore. the casual scanner type does not
want to spend close to $500. to obtain a good radio to listen in.

& I am very dissatified with the quality of the audio decoding
that the P-25 capable scanners are handling on multi-site systems..
plus our local system has decided to encrypt many of the talkgroups.

NOTE:
YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY !

FYI:
Opinion: for digital systems

PRO-96 thumbs down on it for multisite P-25 systems in small area
PRO-106 usable but not great..
Uniden BDC396XT excellent when upgraded to the latest firmware..
