Hi
I've successfully programmed this handheld vhf to the simplex marine
bands but have had little joy with the duplex channels. Channel 7 is
duplex @ 156.350 MHz and the manual is in very abreviated english. The
book of words says - vfo operating mode press f + 8 to set tx/rx
frequency difference values then press PTT switch to confirm - is this
the one to set up duplex on ch 7 and what difference do I put on.
I'm sure many people understand this subject better than I do -that's
why I'm here- but with the greatest respect if you want to tell me the
radio doesnt have type approval or otherwise sneer at me please dont
bother -but anyone who may help - all offers gratefully received.
thanks again.

Like on the other NG you posted, this radio is not Type approved for marine
use & you need a license to use it.Yes I will repeat it,you don't seem to
get the message.
It's not type approved thats the end of the story.
It was never ment to do what you are trying to do with it.
Dedicated marine radio's are so cheap now save yourself a lot of grief.

I've answered this question, if you didn't understand my answer
then leave it alone and buy a real marine band radio
as you will be a menace on the air with with it.

You are dead right Steve,we are plagued round here with people programming
stuff on private channels.
