Is there anyone out there who can fill me in on the All Star Western
Theater? It isn't mentioned in John Dunning's Encyclopedia of Old-Time
Radio, so I expect it's from a later period. Was it any good?

TIA

Cor

I've not heard any of the All Star Western Theater shows but from what I
had in my radio logs file and a quick search of the internet I was able
to come up with this information:

Variety show with many of the western stars. appearing. Most shows are
musically oriented,  some shows are true western dramas.

It's a very enjoyable series.  It stems around a group of western
musicians and singers, notably The Riders Of The Purple Sage.
They live and work on a ranch and they have various adventures.
Sometimes, for example, a singing star wants to use the ranch
as the setting for the next radio broadcast.  There are always songs
sung by the group, and it's a very light bit of good clean
entertainment.

I have a CD full of the shows
