HOT SHEET FOR THURSDAY JUNE 9, 2005

-- RADIO ONE --

1. THE CURRENT:

If you miss hockey, The Current has a cure. The game is going through some
big changes during its down time; hear all about possible plans to liven up
hockey. But critics say making it better and faster may not necessarily
make it a smarter game. Also, why fakes flourish in the art market and what
specialists are doing to stop them. Find out on The Current, with Anna
Maria Tremonti, this morning at 8:30 (9:00 NT) on CBC Radio One.

2. SOUNDS LIKE CANADA:

In the early part of the 20th century, an American book collector named
Otto Ege removed the pages of 50 medieval manuscript books, divided them,
placed them into 40 boxes and sold them around the world. The manuscripts
were hand written by monks on parchment and vellum. While they're estimated
to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars - their historical value is
priceless. Shelagh Rogers talks with Peter Stoicheff, a University of
Saskatchewan professor, who is now on a quest to hunt down the boxes and
reassemble the pages. That's Sounds Like Canada, this morning at 10 (10:30
NT) on CBC Radio One.

3. OUTFRONT:

"The Cause of Thunder" today on OutFront. A glimpse into the remarkable
world of Eliot Grant...a five year old boy from Prospect, Nova Scotia who

That's on OutFront, this morning at 11:45 (12:15 NT) on CBC Radio One.
