So I'm looking at the CBC a couple of weeks ago and on a Wednesday, a
brain surgeon is talking about concussions in young hockey players and
he mentions that Don Cherry, of CBC's Hockey Night In Canada, seen on
Saturday night (see your local listings), is to blame for the "Rockem
Sockem" style of hockey that induces this kind of head trauma.
Oh really? So I don't watch Coach's Corner on CBC's Hockey Night In
Canada (check your local listings) on Saturday, but lo and behold the
CBC reports on its "Newscast" that Don Cherry has fired back on his
Coach's Corner segment of Hockey Night In Canada.
Oh really? I could smell that shameless promotion all the way in
Vancouver from Hogtown. What a cheap way to get viewers for the
ratings sweep. Why does Ron McClean make $650,000 dollars a year?
Also, when CBC TV presenters can't make the grade, why do they end up
with "cheesy" shows on CBC Radio One? Do they really have good agents
or are they just interns that won't quit?
I guess they figure if they hang in there long enough with the elite,
they might end up as a Govenor General or something?
I pray that Peter Mansbridge retires and doesn't take a Senate seat or
boot Ms Jean out of Rideau Hall because of tenure.
CBC has hit rock bottom with its new carnival news format. I can
understand why Neil MacDonald and Adrienne Arsenault want to work
overseas alot.
