Throughout this year Global Village has been on the road, hitting
cities across the country in order to deliver a cultural snapshot (best
places to visit, best places to eat, local personalities) of eight
cities in eight different provinces. Host Jowi Taylor took the stage
along with local CBC hosts from each major city. They were joined by
musicians, dancers, comedians and local heroes in a series of live
events called "On the Map." This week, Global Village begins to
broadcast the series, starting from Vancouver at the World Urban
Festival, as part of the World Urban Forum. Priya Ramu co-hosts this
concert, which features Paula Toledo, Young and Sexy, Shane Koyczan,
