Hello,

Can I overload the battery when the radio stay in the charger (red led stay
on)?
So far I'm not used the orignal pack but put NiMH in the radio and charge
both radios with original desktop charger.

The charger isn't a "smart" charger. It is possible to overcharge if let
in the charger for an extended time

BE CAREFUL... THIS CHARGER WILL ABSOLUTELY FRY THE BATTERY PACKS... I've replaced batteries after maybe a total of a few hours usage of the handhelds and charged for new use.... used about 1 minute... try to watch the batter levels about every month, charge only for a short time and check battery levels to try avoid overcharging..... and already one of the two new battery packs is fried. Why in heaven's sake don't device manufacturers make smart chargers the rule instead of the exception?

Do either of you know where I can get a smart charger? Geez, would probably be cheaper to buy new handhelds!
