As a geopolitical strategy, it would be considered disadvantageous to allow
the US to broadcast pro-US propaganda as it could be said to be generally
disadvantageous to the needs of these liberation fronts. Destroying as many
BBG-VOA relay sites is just merely a reasonable tactic for self protection.
Islamic libeation fronts have no transmission facilities to speak of, so one
could argue this tatics change would merely be creating a level playing
field.

Most of VOA's shortwave transmitters are made by companies that have shut
down or left the shortwave transmitter business: MARCONI and ALLIED-HARRIS.
Most of the BBG external broadcasting money is flowing into Television, not
Radio specifically Shortwave and Mediumwave.
BBG-VOA probably needs to move over to ALLISS transmission technology to
allow it to have instant international crisis reaction times in the 15
minute range -- like RADIO FRANCE INTERNATIONAL.
BBG-VOA is so raft with nepotism, favoritism, kickbacks etc ... that
replacing its transmitter infrastructure may take 5 years -- however all the
BBG-VOA transmission facilities outside the US could be destroyed in 5
weeks.
I am assuming that only the transmitters would be destroyed -- destroying
the antennas takes more time.
RIZ, CROATIA -- could only provide one portable 300 kw SW transmitter per 2
months at best -- as Continental and Thales-Grass Valley don't do portable
SW transmitters.
It could be assumed that an operation to destroy a transmission facility
would be around 100,000 EUR per facility (averaged).
I could assume 50,000 EUR for Sao Tome, but 300,000 EUR for Thailand -- and
around 150,000 EUR for Sri Lanka.
BBG-VOA would not be that heavily impacted as there is a glut of SW
transmission capacity in Eurasia that is up for lease at a moments notice
(for Eurasian targets, Oceania aka Australasia still has -350%
undercapsity). There would no impact in the Americas if BBG-VOA lost all of
its 'Old World' transmission facilities.

You seem to think that it would be a better world if we all minded our
own business instead of butting (or bombing) into the affairs of others.
There seems to be a difference of opinion between you and Washington.
