I read somehwere that cell phones, or two way radio phones, use multiple radio frequencies simultaneously, that is how while talking on cell phones, we are able to talk and hear at the same time. Hi I have a 50 ft tower just ready to throw up something to operate. Cost is the problem but I have a lot of parts to build. I want to put up a dipole (I have a manual all band tuner) and my question is should feed it with ladder line or feed it with coax and then run each leg about 68 ft . This is a dual band VHF / UHF mobile radio. I can't find any service manuals for this radio anywhere online. . Can somebody please pinpoint where the VCO adjustment is on the UHF side. Symptom: towards the upper part of the UHF band it transmits full power then drops. On the lower part of the UHF band it transmits fine and does not drop.... more »
