Reprint publisher Leonaur will start reprinting the Bulldog Drummond series in 2010. They already have republished some H. Rider Haggard. [link]

THE SPIDER VS. THE EMPIRE STATE
The Age of Aces reprint, and this must be considerd as the Cadillac of all reprints.. But do not ty to read it straight through. You will OD on too much adrenilan-based Norvell page prose, I am now struggling to get through the final forty pages -- just too much Spider in too little time. Ration it out over a three month period, as it was originally... more »

Neal Adams draws Doc Savage, Batman and The Spirit (in color)
Neal Adams draws Doc Savage, Batman and The Spirit (in color): [link] Awesome left arm there; Doc Savage can tie his shoes without bending at the waist!

Burbank's First Name
I think the general consensus is that Burbank's first name was never revealed in The Shadow, is this correct? I am in the process of reading The Death Giver, Burbank does use a business card which says 'L Burbank', is this as close as it gets to his name?

Where can I find this story?
Hi SF fans, Not a story ID, but location--I recall reading a story callled. "Are You Run-Down, Tired?" by two authors, one of whom was, I believe, named Babette Rosemond. I also recall seeing it in a couple of anthologies, but I can't seem to find it anywhere in my collection. Does anyone have a clue?... more »

Have the earliest Nick Carter stories been archived?
While the rest of the country/world is sort of getting reintroduced to Sherlock Holmes - I got to wondering if the earliest Nick Carter stories had been rescued and put up online somewhere. I don't mean the pulp series of the '30s but the early stories that ran largely the same time Conan Doyle was writing his Holmes stories.... more »

Review: "The Voice" (The Shadow)
THE VOICE was originally published in the November 1, 1938 issue of The Shadow Magazine. And just who or what is "The Voice?" That's what The Shadow is out to discover. This bodiless voice controls a conspiracy that defies exposure. When the Voice speaks, murder is done. But when the final fray is over, it is the taunting, triumph laugh of The Shadow... more »

NORVELL PAGE
THE SPIDER VS. THE EMPIRE STATE is Great value -- three sequential novels, important to the series. Modified original interior illos, copies of the original covers, dynamite cover and layout by Chris Kalb. My only gripe is the bio of author Norvell Page. This is the same tried few paragraphs I've seen over and over again -- nobdy really... more »

Merry Christmas
I was a good little boy this year, and Santa dropped off THE SPIDER vs. THE EMPIRE STATE collection, which looks to be theultimate pulp reprint. Also the DOC SAVAGE movie on DVD. And my daughter came through with a new Case knife and four Max Brands. Life is good Dave

Pulp at Sams
Foolishly spent Sunday afternoon in the crowd at Sam's Club. They had all seven volumes of Louis L-Amour's short stories in hardback at $13.52 apiece Dave
