Diana
Gemini looks up from her laptop when Diana speaks.
"Oh, hello there. I've been around, just been preoccupied with life,
you know."
She helps herself to a Snickers Dark.
"My son could make this all disappear in short order. He's 17, very
active, at that bottomless pit stage. He just finished up his last high
school cross country season."
(It just so happens that he's talking with a college coach right now.
He's gotten a fair amount of interest from college cross country coaches.)
Gemini
You've given your kids such a great start in life, Gemini. Healthy
bodies, healthy minds. And probably scholarships. Cool. Have another
Snickers.
I hope so.
My daughter did get the scholarship. Now she's planning on getting a
grad school fellowship. She's so focused.
My son hasn't found something to focus on yet. (Which is normal for
17.) It's making the college selection process more complicated.
