I'm writing on a subject that has relevance to many people, regardless of their politics or their beliefs. That subject is friendship.
I used to be terrible at making and keeping friends. I am better at it now, and I would like to explain to people how it is done. A person who starts out badly at something and then gets better at it would have more meaningful things to say on the subject than would someone who has been always good at it.
