test for assessing map-reading abilities

Dear All,

I am trying to identify a standardized test that can help assess the
map-reading abilities of adults. We are conducting a controlled
experiment to compare a map-based interface versus a text-based
interface and we would love to assess the different map-reading
abilities of our participants to make sure we are not biasing the
results. When I say map, I mean cartographic representation of space.
