"Researchers analysed the exam results of more than 700,000 Swedish
teenagers and discovered those with the most excellent performance were
nearly four times as likely to develop bipolar disorder as adults"

So, to lower one's chance of developing bipolar disorder, one should do
poorly in school. This field is getting more bogus all the time.

RTFA, nowhere does it suggest doing worse in school will "lower ones
chance of developing bipolar", it doesn't even allude to that.. That
would be to imply that developing bipolar was a choice.

Psychiatrist Dr James MacCabe, of King's College London, said: "We found
achieving an A grade is associated with increased risk for bipolar
disorder, particularly in humanities and to a lesser extent in science
subjects.
"A-grades in Swedish and Music had particularly strong associations,
supporting the literature which consistently finds associations between
linguistic and musical creativity and bipolar disorder."

Your con game is getting more bogus all the time.

Yet more crossposted crap threads from yet more crossposting trolls.
Why don't you idiots stick to your own newsgroups?

Thus better achievements result in mental illnesses. This in fact
defies the theory of evolution which is 'supposed' to increase fitness
for survival.

See, you can't have it both ways...

Indeed... that which should be investigated is how exactly the
'research' on those children was performed...

Some logic please here.

This is relating to Scientology, and therefore in essense the correct
newsgroup...

I don't give a damn about scientology. This thread is crossposted to
alt.support.schizophrenia when there is no reason for it to be
crossposted here. You've even got our resident wackjob, Miguel
Alberto, spewing his bilge as part of the conversation. Believe me,
Alberto doesn't need any extra encouragement to talk stupidly!

These posters are not trolls. They are members of the Church of
Scientology, which has as a frequently stated policy the abolition of
psychiatry and the banning of all psychiatric medicine. This is not just a
religious belief, Scientology actively campaigns to achieve these
objectives. You may not care about Scientology, but they care about YOU -
they want to take away your meds and put your doctors (who are all evil
rapists) in prison.

I have experience with scientology, and its only purpose in existence
is to collect money from the gullible in order to generate profit.
It's a paramilitary personality cult that uses junk science. So,
although I agree that psychiatrists are stupid and useless, I don't
see scientology as a viable alternative.

Besides, all crossposters are trolls by definition.

So what makes you the resident expert on what get posted? Isn't bipolar
disorder a mental illness? Some people who are once diagnosed with
bipolar disorder then are diagnosed with schizophrenia and vice versa.
People who are diagnosed with psychosis become schizophrenic or vice
versa. Who are you to decide.

I'm just telling you that I don't want your crossposted trolling in
the newsgroup I use. If you want to crosspost-troll elsewhere, feel
free. And you can do with that information what you wish.

I'm just telling y0u that you have your opinion and I have my own. Just
because you think a certain way, doesn't mean I have to think the same.
I'll continue to post as I please.

I'm bored.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,
extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an
online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of
provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or of otherwise
disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[2]

what can be off topic on a schizophrenia support list?

so smart people are fucked up. Wow ~! thats revolutionary info.

My definition includes anyone who crossposts for any reason.

Yeah, well, I kinda didn't notice that he/she seems to be clearly
"trying to provoke an emotional response" but then.. who doesn't?

anyway.

As long as the topic is relating to the newsgroup, who cares whether it
is cross-posted. Some people like to make up their own definition.

Except that your biased proselytizing garbage is NOT related to this
newsgroup.

He doesn't care. In his warped mind, everything is related to his
posts. As much as I have respect and tolerance for people with mental
illnesses, DP and his manipulative, passive agressive garbage are best
put into a kill file. My apologies for cross posting, just tossing out
my 2 cents as someone who tried the logic and reason approach of
talking to him.

I see posts that have no relation to the newsgroup yet you don't seem to
be responding to them. I think you don't agree with what is posted
rather than it is off-topic. What bright idea have you come up about
schizophrenia?
