Akhenaton is Oedipus

To me, it's clear that Oedipus is moulded out of Egyptian pharao
Akhenaton (Ikhnaton or Amenhotep IV, king of Egypt, 1350-1334 BC).
There are telling evidence. Akhenaton lived in a town called Thebes,
just like Oedipus. Akhenaton married his mother Tiy, with whom he had
one daughter (the pharaohs were notorius for incestuous alliances).

 "Two types of psychoanalysis?"
Abstract: The traditional aim of psychoanalysis is to resolve the complex.
But sometimes the factors are too deep to be eliminated, and the goal is
instead to find a way in which the complex can be lived in an upright and
productive way. Psychoanalysis becomes more oriented toward the public

Psychoanalysis consists of you paying hundreds of dollars to complain
about your personal problems and having Dr. Phil fart an opinion Dear
Abby could give for free. The opinion Dr. Phil farts is considered
scientific and medical because he has a Ph.fucking.D. in psychology,
but it seems to me that his opinion might be incorrect if he is crazy.

Theory as a defence against the unconscious

Theory is often used as a defence against the unconscious or the true
relation with the patient. By theorizing along his beaten track a
therapist can spin himself into a cocoon of theoretical silk-threads,
functioning as a protective mother's womb. To notoriously apply a
ready-made theory of dreams, for instance, is a sign of an underlying

Autonomy, Looking for the Good Mother and Object Relations

Anyone here like to comment on the ideas of autonomy and looking for
the "good mother"
everywhere one goes? It's fascinating when people haven't
internalized the completion of
the maturity it takes to form a good "self object"and they are looking
to others for a type
of nurturing role that the others should not be liable to give them.

It's high time to abandon the method of free associations. Dream
interpretation, and interpretation of mythological material, is best
performed with the methods of amplification and contextualization.
Much have been said in dream interpretation, and mythic amplification,
that goes beyond Freud's ideas. The student can begin by studying
