In my neighborhood there's a guy (fictional here for argument's
sake but who surely exists with minor variation everywhere there
is a religious community) who out-of-the-blue selects
persons, humorously unknown to himself persons including a
psychiatrist, others and myself (for the purposes of this I'll toot:
I'm a "professional," reasonably successful, including thus far well
more so than the obnoxious subject guy,) to whom he at times doesn't
offer, but rather imposes gratuitous lectures.
If one does not just wait and listen intently to a lecture, he
gets visibly perturbed, at times even with a threatening demeanor.
Sadly, there's actually much to be said for him: a decorated
soldier
with good business acumen aside from being a closed minded
conformist crowd follower and, thus, a buy high type.
He's also a macho loudmouth fool.
On Fox news 1/11/09, per Kenneth Ablow, MD, Psychiatry,
discussing the financier suicides following the initial crash in
'late '08, early '09: they lost their self-esteem, their manhood
having
been caught up in their financial success.

The inquisition against gays is intended to make straight guys afraid

As was the case in associating political foes with communism,
scapegoating gays as foes
of religious dogma, and thus running afoul of recent political power,
was intended primarily to make straight guys afraid of being wrongly

heterosexually.

Note Sarah Palin advocated the religious right line entirely and her
husband is reported to have been (I don't personally know this) a
member, if not a leader, of the sort of separationist organization
(Alaskan Independence Party) you might otherwise expect to find in
Sarah Palin's place of origin (Idaho, home of the Aryan Nation.)
That
is also the home of Lou Dobbs, to me leader of the scapegoating of
Mexicans
business.
As the gay gene only passes maternally, there are in religious
communities 3 of them per male gay, but they enjoy a holier than thou
existence as the men are the scapegoats of their own religion.
