The more you concentrate on being something you are not the more muddled
you'll become. BE YOURSELF This means if you don'y know it means you don't
know. There is no sin or error in not knowing.
What blocks you path or anyone's path is doubt, worry,
apprehension meaning you expect the worst. In other words it is fear.
Fear is the most disrupted form of all of our emotions. The odd thing
about that is it is the master stimulator of all of our other negative
feelings. We usually feel fear to lose, so take and leave winning. No-one
wins all of the time...it's normal and happens to everyone. Why do we have
erasers on pencils, insurance, lawyers police etc etc. We all make
mistakes and it is the only way to really improve.
So give up fear and try to start emplying trust. In yourself and
in others. You'll be surprised as to how many will step in for you when
you fail. Just give up fear.

This is a rather common standard suggestion (so that you may use to take
as common wisdom), you may think valid for anybody in any
circumstances, whereas it may not be very meaningful for its too loose
generality that leads to excess and caricature. A more balanced view is
required.

People are essentially different from each other, circumstances are
multiple, so that any standard suggestion may not be adapted to
everybody in every circumstances. Yours might even be dangerous at times
(only think for example to alpinism ; it would be suicidal to give up
any doubt, apprehension, even fear, or to fail to imagine the worst).

Hence I believe lots of people might be more muddled after hearing your
discourse than before.

Strange , that my experience is the same as that of chsenecal.
My whole life , i tried to be anonymous. And always felt like being in a
straighjacket.
People laugh about one's oppinions , laugh about the way one dresses ,
or hairdo.
And let me remind you that "laughter" is very mild. Some people seem to
need to go further
in "correcting" of others behavior. (This does not really work well on
your selfesteem)

I Also think.. that in your "example" of apinism. You should rather
speak of calculated risks.
If you don't trust in your own knowledge or experience , you should
NEVER be doing that sport.
Or any other sport that involves risks that can be lethal.
And if you estimate the danger or your knowledge/experience wrong , then
damage control is the best
you can do , and learn from it , or die in the process.
In the end it IS a descision you took for yourself (with whatever
outcome).

You are right (imo) that people are essentially different from each
other.
This combined with the fact that people are pressed into a society
sausage, in order
to look , act , feel , think like a lot of others will give emotional
problems.

But then again.. this can be "cured" by our shrinks..
I guess to give it a more "balanced" checkbook/view.

I see in chsenecal a try to make people free.. and you are trying to do
damage control..
