Now, Peckman is taking on an even more powerful politician: President Barack
Obama. In a letter to BO that a fellow Examiner.com blogger calls a
"well-mannered but exigently crafted dispatch," Peckman argues that
"Americans have been imprisoned for over 60 years behind a 'Berlin wall' of
oppressive lies and secrecy about UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors." As
such, he paraphrases a famous Ronald Reagan speech, demanding that Obama
"'tear down this wall' of UFO secrecy."
Clearly, matters such as war in Afghanistan and Iraq, airport security and
healthcare for all Americans pale in comparison to this vital issue, as
Peckman will no doubt convince you. Read the letter below -- and then watch
the skies!
Open letter to President Obama:
Dear Mr. President,
Americans have been imprisoned for over 60 years behind a 'Berlin wall' of
oppressive lies and secrecy about UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors. Those
who dared to escape this prison and expose the truth have been threatened,
harassed, assaulted, and worse, by agents of the U.S. Government. This
letter is an appeal to end such illegal and un-American activities and to
disclose secret UFO files.
Your first calendar year in office has been admirable. Even your first day
in office included your historic memorandum stating that, "The Government
should not keep information confidential merely because public officials
might be embarrassed by disclosure, because errors and failures might be
revealed, or because of speculative or abstract fears."
Your memorandum of December 30, 2009 continued this theme by stating that
"no information may remain classified indefinitely" with respect to national
security. Your instruction in the same memorandum, to "identify classified
information that no longer requires protection and can be declassified",
potentially opens the gate for your historic effort toward openness in
government, but only if applied.
Therefore, I urge you to disclose files on UFOs and visits by
extraterrestrial intelligent beings to the United States. President Reagan
and President Carter reported clear UFO sightings. Hundreds of former U.S.
military and intelligence personnel, and government contractors have been
part of The Disclosure Project. They have shared first hand accounts of
similar and other incidents but in greater detail. Once you authorize
official disclosure, even more details will emerge that will be of great
interest to the public.
Mr. President, you know that diplomatic relations and trade with other
countries are vital for economic development, healthcare, cultural richness,
and education of our country and the world. Acknowledging the presence of
"people from other planets" will result in even bigger and more diverse
benefits for humanity and our damaged environment.
Public opinion polls conducted for the last 10-20 years have shown that a
large majority of those polled believe that we are not alone in the
universe. Similar majorities believe that we have been visited by other
civilizations and that the U.S. government has covered up these facts. These
poll respondents are many of the same smart, brave, and progressive American
citizens that elected you to the Office of President.
Mr. President, it is time to reveal that we are being visited by people
from outside our planet. It is time to consider the benefits of peaceful
relations with them. Over 10,000 people in Metro Denver alone have signed
the petition to put a proposed ordinance on the August 2010 Denver ballot to
create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission. A recent L.A. Times blog poll
showed that over 70% of respondents thought that their hometown should also
have an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission.
We would be honored to work with you on this historic and timely campaign
to acknowledge our visiting extended 'family' from throughout the universe.
But we will not wait for you. We are doing this now because, as Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr. said, "It is always the right time to do the right thing."
Disclosure of UFO files is the 'right thing'. It is long over due for
America but is already under way by other nations, including Russia.
The UFO "balloon boy" hoax of October this year was but a small mirror
image of the vast and costly hoax done by the U.S. government to American
citizens. This hoax has lasted for over 60 years -- more than twice the
period of the Berlin wall.
The 20th anniversary of opening the Berlin wall occurred this year. So on
New Year's Eve of 2009, in making this appeal to you, I paraphrase President
Reagan's famous challenge to Mr. Gorbachev:
"We, the People, welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom
and security go together, that the acknowledgement of our extraterrestrial
brothers and sisters can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is
one sign the United States government can make that would be unmistakable,
that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. President
Obama, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the United States and
the world, if you seek truth, come here to this historic opportunity. Mr.
President, open the files on UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors. Mr.
President, 'tear down this wall' of UFO secrecy."
Happy New Year!
Respectfully,
Jeff Peckman

HO HO HO.
Sorry, Doc, I know your history on these things. I'm afraid that to
me, visitors from other worlds is the script for medical treatment in
an institution.
Why is he talking about America only...does he believe that only
America 'knows' of these things?
Sorry, it's a cult of madness. Your Government cannot reveal what does
not exist...except in the minds of those given to strange fancy's.
Fun to read though...but frightening to think that this 'urban legend'
has actually invaded the minds of the gullible.
Werewolfy
Um ... I think it's more likely that he's a citizen of American and
realizes that his president only presides over ... America.
Woods
The whole thing reads like America is the only Country in the world
that 'knows' about this illusion, Woodsy.
" Mr. President, you know that diplomatic relations and trade with
other
countries are vital for economic development, healthcare, cultural
richness,
and education of our country and the world. Acknowledging the presence
of
"people from other planets" will result in even bigger and more
diverse

So, if say, Guatamala, or Nigeria, or France 'acknowledged' the
presence of these wandering Green Men, then they too, 'would benefit'
etc etc?
I know, Lets ALL say we saw them in our gardens, and we will be
blessed with peace ever after.
Werewolfy
HO HO HO.
Werewolfy
Well, I wish you could've seen what I've seen in our skies. I acknowledge
that even some of the unusual objects I observed could be explained if more
information were available.
However, the concept that unidentified aerial phenomena has an
extraterrestrial intelligence behind it is not the only possibility, yet it
cannot be fairly ruled out, despite the seeming 'absurdity' of the behavior
of the phenomena.
Had we seen these things in ancient times, it'd be more likely folks would
be thinking they were gods or spirit beings, as they did, in fact.
The stunning similiarity between 'ghosts' and UFOs continues to interest me.
Small floating lights are seen in many ghost encounters, and behave much
like UFOs, and both phenomena disrupt EM fields.
My idea is that the truly unknown objects represent a natural phenomena that
is linked to our subconscious. We are the intelligence behind it, and
involuntarily, unknowingly make it manifest...and then unfortunately,
misinterpret it with preset concepts based on popular or religious ideas.
If we were to someday contact aliens, even hobknob with them daily,
commonly, I believe the "UFOs" would still be manifesting, but no longer as
space ships, but as something else. We'd be forced to shift our
interpretation to whatever ideas we entertained at that future point, or
we'd finally, scientifically, identify the nature and origin, and merely
categorize it as a natural phenomena, but we'd learn that our minds are
interacting with something (possibly electromagnetic). We'd then be quite
startled to understand our brains are far more versatile, having more
abilities, than we'd ever imagined.
Doc
Now THAT is a plausible, and worthy theory as to such things. Well
worth consideration.
