The story of the "Nutmegger" term is thus: way back when nutmeg was a
very expensive spice, and people had to grind it down themselves,
Connecticut became known for shipping out "nutmeg" that was actually
chunks of wood carved to look like a nutmeg nut. A Connecticut nutmeg
was a phony one.
