You are truly going off the deep end, junior.
The Alexandra Kerry DUI story is ALL OVER the mainstream media, spanning the
full width of political spectrum.
Anyone can simply search for 'kerry's daughter arrested' and find hundreds
of articles, even videos early this morning.
I have no idea what you are bitching about.
But you look ridiculous.
LOL!
Doc
If you watched something other than Fox, you'd know this has been in
themainstream media. Besides, Kerry isn't the one who claims to be a
perfect little Christian who knows how to run their life better than
everyone else. The fact is that if you claim to have all the answers,
there's hell to pay when you or yours screws up. That's why Democrats
and moderate Republicans don't get much flack when they screw up, and
the right wing nut jobs do.
Woods
It happened two days ago, and they're just getting around to covering
it? Imagine it had been Palin's daughter. This group would have
multiple threads (some started by you) covering her arrest from every
angle. Instead, you'd have been happy to ignore this story, wouldn't
you?
>
> I have no idea what you are bitching about.
Of course you don't. You're blinded by your bias.
Not to the extent it would have been if it had been Palin's daughter.

Can you show me the quote where Sarah Palin says she knows how to run
her life better than everyone else? I'll wait.

Yes, maybe you're right. Maybe the world would be a better place if we
had no standards to live up to. Maybe the world would be a better
place if ALL Presidents were allowed to take interns into the Oval
Office for recreation, with no repercussions. Maybe the world would be
a better place if movie directors were allowed to drug and rape 13-
year-old girls, with no repercussions. Yes, maybe you're right after
all. Let's just have no standards at all.
No, it was in the news when it happened. Where the heck were you?!?
Woods
Did she or did she not run on a platform of trying to force her
strong Christian belief system on everyone else? This includes
abortion rights, access to birth control, sex education? No matter
how you try to slice it, by trying to force her value system on
everyone else, she's implicitly stating that her value system is so
much better than everyone else's. So yes, she would definitely be
called on any failings - and she's the one who put herself in that
position.

Well, that's certainly a non-starter for an argument. You've clearly
gone off the deep end. It seems like you can't handle any criticism
at all of your precious Sarah - do you have a crush on her, or
something?
Woods
This has got to be the irony of all ironies. For you, who didn't even
know what was happening in an election in your own state, to talk to
me about "Where the heck were you?!?" when you're so ill-informed it's
not funny, is beyond laughable!
If this had been Palin's daughter, the story would have achieved a far
higher profile than it has -- in the media and on this group. That's
just a fact, and you can argue against that fact until you're blue in
the face, but it's still a fact.
How do you propose that she might have *forced* her belief system onto
you or anyone else? Please explain.
>
> No matter

She didn't. She couldn't, even if she tried. What the hell are you
talking about? Please explain.

So it's better to not have any standards at all? Even if you fall
short of those standards, it's not a good thing to have standards to
strive for?

No, I think you're an ill-informed idiot, and I'm going to point it
out every chance you give me.
It happened two days ago, and they're just getting around to covering
it?
Uh, the story broke Thursday and I didn't see you mention it until Friday
evening.
I have no idea how many articles were up before I noticed it about 12 hours
ago.
I would guess easily that it hit the news hard and and wide, junior, because
of the large number of articles that were up by the time I was alerted.
But, the story hasn't gotten much 'oomph' to it, really.
She was actually tested under the California legal limit, and certainly the
woman was not charged with reckless driving. Obviously, if we were to stop
half the drivers out there, we'd find drug and alcohol levels of varying
degrees.
Imagine it had been Palin's daughter. This group would have
multiple threads (some started by you) covering her arrest from every
angle. Instead, you'd have been happy to ignore this story, wouldn't
you?
It is not that Palin has committed a common minor crime, as Kerry did, but
that she is an arrogant, inflammatory woman which the public doesn't
appreciate, and who the majority would not want as President. Had she laid
low after the election, content with doing her public job, she'd likely been
more popular now, and with little negative media attention. But, she's a
flamboyant demagogue, junior, intent on driving fast to the ultimate in
power. She has little chance to realize her high goal, though, and she is a
rather pathetic attention-getter that you rightwingers would do well to
leave behind, and choose a much more stable, mature, intelligent, qualified
woman to champion.
I feel kinda sorry for her, because my fist intuitive impression of her came
from her preparation to deliver her first VP speech at the RNC convention.
As she rehearsed in the huge room, I could see the wonderment, the raw
aching for great power, on her lil' town mayoral face, junior. A frightening
impression that proved correct as the months passed.
I predicted she'd fade away after the election, and although she has not,
her support base has withered, and her loyal fans have grown increasingly
silly defending her excesses.
Doc
You've pointed out nothing. All you've done is throw out silly
questions in an attempt to appear that you have no idea how a
politician could possibly make laws that affect everyone else.
Woods
Plus, he's a jackass. He needs a vacation...or his meds adjusted...or
a lobotomy...or something...
I'm still waiting for him to tell us what having a peer-reviewed
journal article means...:).
I guess it depends on perspective. I didn't care that her daughter was
pregnant; I sure as hell wouldn't care if she were charged with DUI. I
had sex as a teenager and was lucky enough to avoid getting pregnant
(actually, I was careful most of the time but slipped up enough for
luck to enter into it). I also drove under the influence in my late
teens/early 20s. I could have been caught myself; again, I was lucky.
Stuff like that is a non-issue to me...especially when it is not even
about the candidate.
You really need to get a grip.

I was waiting to see if you (or someone else) would bring it up. You
know if this had been Palin's daughter, you'd have had it posted here
in a flash.
Congress can make no law that overturns a Supreme Court ruling. Such a
law would be unconstitutional, and would be quickly nullified by the
Supreme Court.
I wasn't referring to you.
Now, that assertion is really ridiculous. We're not on here going through
the wide spectrum of media trashola every hour of the day, junior.
And that is what it is: scandalous crap better suited for supermarket
tabloids, with embellishments.
Will America go down in a tidal wave of lurid trivialities, partisan
pettiness stemming from a populace unable to stick with important complex
issues of import to everyone, like two costly wars going nowhere, no
comprehensive affordable healthcare, an inherited shambled economy?
It MUST be Sarah Palin Country for at least the 30% that hope for a
demagogue to lead them to the Promised Marketplace. However, for the rest of
us, it's a national train wreck in motion, and last time I checked, we're
ALL heading down its shaky track.
Doc
Is it about time for you and the ol' biddies to have your afternoon tea and
Danish pastry, junior?
